Really, I haven't heard of any. The LS-7 was hand built and is expected to be phased out in the near future.

The next CTS-V is rumored to get the LS-9 from what I have heard. Also, that car will be similar in pricing (expected $65k), and that is a different issue -- giving the top engine to the top car (hp wise) of a different brand. Which is why I would said it could go into an Infiniti (as they can charge the premium necessary), long before a Nissan.

Jut my $0.02 though.

Some people have their expectations way too high...

Then they complain about disappointment.

I only expect an NA VQ37VHR in the next 350Z. With weight figures being about the same.

With that being said, I will not buy another Z unless it has MAJOR HP gains. 30 more hp etc will not make me buy another. I want a Sports Car not 4 seater and one with HP.

Basically I have been disappointed the entire time I owned my 350Z for lack of power or potiential to make more HP cheaply and be CARB legal. I love the car but it needs a TT on it.

I read that the new Z is supposed to be smaller, maybe save some weight?

I don't remember them saying there would be a Nismo FI kit?

I do remember "The GTR will be your turbo car"

Agree completely. Most people arn't gonna pay 70 or 80k for a GTR. It's not worth that, at least to me. I'd rather take a Z06. They need to make a lower end turbo car for us on a smaller budget. I just bought my z less than 2 months ago and am already thinking of trading it back in for an EVO or STI. I am paying 23k for an 05 base, for 2k more I can have an 05 STI with all options that will handle better and be faster, and easy to make even faster. If the Z had better performance stock, or was at least able to make good power without having to pay the rediculous price for a turbo kit (can't even make your own kit) then it would be a different story, but I'm not trying to spend money on every bolt on just to be beaten by a mustang with an intake and exhaust. I love the way the Z looks, but they should have given it more power to back it up. It's like the celica commerial "Looks fast"!

crate motor. somebodies gonna do it. the only thing is finding a transmission to mate it with, seeing as the gtr is awd, and the z isnt. its either convert the z to awd, or figure out a tranny solution. maybe an adaptor plate?
