BTW, you guys talking about '11 are talking about a completely new Z. The 370Z is not this car. The 370Z has minor cosmetic updates and the same VQ37HR motor as the G37 which is already on sale. The '11 car is going to be a completely new car, on a new platform, most likely with a VR based motor like the GTR.
Same thing my master tech told me, same Z33 chassis and the 3.7L HR in it.

I just hope they keep the ECU wiring the same so piggybacks with pnp harnesses will be the same between the two motors....probably won't because of the VVIEL (sp) .

And also I hope this is true as it won't axe-murder the value of my car nearly as much.

I can guarantee the wiring harness is different. The HR has two electronic throttle bodies, the DE only one. This means a whole extra set of wires for a second TB.

I have an HR. The 3.5 and 3.7 currently have different ECU's, but the G and Z have always had different ECU's. I'm saying I hope they are able to at least keep the same plug on the ECU so it won't be so much work to hardwire something (although I will if need be).
