Yeah, it's pretty much the consensus around here that dealerships, especially salesman don't know anything and usually less than the online community. Example, I have a relative that is the Sales Manager for Sterling McCall Nissan in Houston (a high volume Nissan dealership) and I know more about the car than him and we talk cars all the time.

Like what inthedark said, you would think they would know a lot more than us but they probably know the same or less. It could be that he just wanted you to buy a 350z now and not wait for the 370z, but thats just my theory.

I pretty sure that the formula for cars is the more extra stuff they add, the heavier the car will become. So more power, better handling, and better technology should be guaranteed, but lighter weight sounds like the opposite of what will probably happen.

Well if it means a better performing/equipped car etc. I would imagine most wouldnt mind the extra cost. The Z or any other sports car today really cant stay with or ahead of the pack, by remaining a sub to low $30k car, sorry just dont see it happening.

If that new automatic is a dual-clutch style automatic then I've found my next car.

It wouldn't make sense to not have a DSG.
