You guys are retarded. No one has seen the 370Z. Please show me where the 370Z is an epic falure (on an actual 370Z). I think you'd have a very hard time pointing anything out on on the white spy shots since you can't really make out much. The only "epic failure" in this thread is that of people making stupid comments about a car they haven't even seen. "Oh but the horrible boomerang headlights..." Whatever. You haven't even seen them yet. They likely will flow very well with the body lines of the Z. Have a little faith. Tards.

I sure as hell hope the 370z in final form looks at least as good as the current Z. I enjoyed every aspect of my 350z and will have very little hesitation of buying the 370z, if they don't screw up on the design. Judging from Nissan's current shipment of fail when they delivered the new Maxima with the hideous boomerang lights, I can't help but feel the other shipment of fail is on its way. Lets just hope those concept pictures are not anywhere close to the final product, but I'm pretty sure the butt-ugly boomerang theme is here to stay.

You will have to forgive my frustration with the fairweather fans that are hating on a car that hasn't even shown it's face. It's asinine. If you prefer the blocky look over the newer fluid look, that's fine, but to say they fail is a bunch of cliched internet bullsh*t. Nissan is taking their design in a different direction. You don't have to like it, but that doesn't mean they fail.

 

I can see what you mean. I'll speak for myself and say my definition of fail in this case is purely referring to appearance, not necessarily Nissan's market strategy -- wether the new design will be successful financially, only time will tell. As far as looks, it is in the eyes of the beholder, but I do hope Nissan chooses a theme that's appealing to the majority, the way the current Z is.

 

I can understand people pointing out how some are resistant to change and how those who own a current Z may not like the new "look".

But to quote Murphy,

"Fool with something long enough and it will break."

This is how I feel about the new design. Some of the features are indeed acceptable but I think if the images in the magazines are in fact what the new Z will look like, then the designers have fooled long enough.
