when!when!when!when!!
From the pics I have seen floating on the web so far I don't like the new design. Makes me want to run out and get an 08 to make sure I have one of the ones I like before they are gone. LOL. Who knows though........maybe it will grow on me.

Besides, a real, "HUGE Z fan" would be stoked that the new 370Z looks to return to it's 240Z roots, both in looks and size. Nissan has made public their intentions to make the new Z an improvement over the current one (striaght from the VP of Product Planning).
To the original poster, the LA auto show press days begin the 19th of November. Wait until then if you can. The new Z will be smaller, lighter, more powerful and have a more distinct shape. This will lend itself to more performance on the track and a more distinction on the street.

Likely, you wanted a Z and wanted to justify not waiting. There's nothing wrong with that, but don't go around spreading BS like this. The new Z will not cost more than a G37; Nissan would not do that because it's terrible business.

A little off-topic, but if the rumors are true that Nissan is supposed to release a RWD 4-cylinder sports coupe slated below the Z, it wouldn't be too far fetched for the Z34 to have a slightly higher MSRP IMHO. I just hope if this does happen, Nissan will keep the Z under 35K starting.
The reason he mentiond the 40k price tag for a new Z with options is because it's been mentioned that the new Z will start off with a price tag of 35k. So if the base is 35k then a Z with options will see a price tag of 40k or higher. Even at 35k you can find good deals on base model C6 vettes which makes the Z not the bargin sports car it's supposed to be; that is unless they bring up the performance to match the Vette. So for right now bases off current information PrimeX's comment sounds on target to me.

The global sales forecast for fiscal 2008 is 3.9 million units. The main contributions to volume growth will come primarily from GOM and Russia. Nissan will launch nine all-new products during fiscal 2008: Teana, Infiniti FX, Maxima, Bakkie successor, Qashqai+2, a mini SUV, Cube, Z and Infiniti G37 Convertible.
