I don't understand why everyone is "wondering" what the next Z will look like. It will be an evolution of the current design, so don't expect anything radically different. Looks like the most radical departure will be the
headlights.

What the "380 / 390 / 400" Z will look like is what we should be wondering about. Nissan doesn't usually does a refresh until the 6/7th model year; hence the 370Z; and they don't do a total re-design until the 8th/9th model year. So by my calcualtion we should see a totally re-designed car sometime in
2012/2013.

I am willing to speculate the 2012/2013 will have the following:
(1) 350 whp
(2) Inline 6 is a possibility
(3) weigh around 3000lbs
(4) 0-60 in ~ 4.2 secs
(5) top speed of 165 mph
(6) 2 body styles; coupe & Targa.

Oh yeah?

I'm speculating:

1) 600hp
2) Inline 10
3) Weigh 2500
4) 0-60 in 3 seconds flat
5) topspeed of 300mph

....point is how are you going to speculate what its going to be 4/5 years in advance? you dont even know theyre going to d/c the 'z' or not.

i speculate there will be a z in 5 years time and many more to come; there will be a continual update of the previous iteration.

it's a heritage that will continue, much like the gt-r.

240z to 350z to....

r32gtr to r35gtr to...

To be honest, the rear end just looks like a toad. I'm usually OK with progressive design, but the rear end on the new Z, and the flaps/teeth on the front bumper is just killing me.

Hopefully, 3rd party body kits will be plentiful like what we have with the 350, and "take away from the body lines." I've always liked that line.. "kills the body lines."

You think......I think after this so called 370z ther might be a pause. Like someone said in a thread with the way things are going this car is very balance...so you do anything to it it's going to get better...we just hope the styling is something easy on the eyes, and really still in price range...

no, no, no it's going to be:

1)1100hp
2)TT V10
3)weigh 2650
4)0-60 in 2.5 seconds
5)top speed atleast 305mph
it's going to be the next worlds fastest production car baby
lets face it, the only person who really knows what the new Z will be is in.the.dark, he's never been wrong so far

The 370Z is the total redesign. Shortening the wheelbase and creating an essentially all new lighter platform is not some mid-cycle refreshening. This is the new one that will be around for the next several years.

this guy can't be serious... he is sooo left behind... What he doesn't know is that I have already predicted 2024 model year Z which would be a 780Z

Here is a side picture and you can see it still has a trunk. It doesn't look like a toad to me, it sort of looks like a 350z.
