I'd agree on this. Not that the Z is a pig, but I bet they could take some weight out of it without redesignign the entire thing. Since before they even confirmed it would be called 370Z they have been saying shorter wheel based, about 200 lbs less (I believe that is correct) and the VQ37 in the current G. Considering the Z will do 13s off the show-room floor, I'd certainly assume the same here. I see no way it would be slower than the current Z. 200 lbs is .2 tenths without more power. 330 HP, 3100 lbs? Low to mid 13s @ 10x all day.

No, no.. I would say more like high 12's. Again, I compare the numbers from the E46 M3; similar HP and torque numbers, but the Z is much lighter.

I've never run mine at the track, but just my take.

Also, is anyone else almost angry at this point that this car is being kept from us for so long? I mean, there are a few new cars coming out next year, and we not only have seen them, but know all their specs. It's getting very frustrating.
Someone on these forums has ran a 13.1 with a BONE STOCK 350z. No bolt-on mods, nothing. Look for the top 1/4 drag times thread.

+1. Numerous people on this forum have ran low 13s with their HR Zs. High 12s would be my bet.

All 07+ 350Zs and nismo models are consistantly running mid 13s, breaking high 12s should be easy for the 370Z

Not angry but is a bit frustrating they have not shown this at least in concept form (they did it for the g37 coupe, GTR, even the 350Z). I guess the Z now falls into regular production models that dont get too much hype ahead of their debut.

I want to see this thing in the dark gray/gunmetal wheel combo of the GTR...

You should have gotten into it and checked the redline/popped the hood and peep the engine...

definite high 12's stock mid 12's with minor bolt ons or sticky tires.... considering theoretically a stock hr z now has the trap speed for 12's.. just needs a nice set of rear tires or DRs. my stock AUTO ROADSTER went 13.4 haha so im calling 12's no doubt

The 370 should definitely hit at LEAST high 12's.

I'm confused...I'm debating whether I want to keep my 350Z and upgrade parts, or prep for the 370Z...The L.A. auto show is so far away!!
