The Z has, and always will look good, PERIOD! Most didn't like the Z33 when it first came out, myself included, but now appreciate the aesthetic brilliance, the same will happen with the 370Z.
Side Note: If you have seen Tyson in person at the gym as have I, he is pretty intimidating!!! I imagine the Z will be also....
Hmm, the 370Z has a similar profile as the 240Z. I think that car was introduced in 1970 by Nissan. Also, the 260Z, 280ZX and 280ZXafter it. So, you might think their could be a possibility they would use some of the same design cues. What do you think???
If you say the Solstice looks like the Z one could say every car produced has 10 or 20 cars that look like it too.

The car is way too bubbly and innate-looking. I'm not saying that it is completely ugly but aesthetically compared to the 350, the 350 looks better, hands-down.
Since the car is shorter, mainly from space taken out of the rear half, they may have done it to increase cargo capacity in the back. Seriously, as stoopid as it sounds, fitting 2 bags of golf clubs is a real design consideration.
The 240's lines were a lot more flowing and 'uninhibited'. The 370 looks like it wanted to be bigger and had more elegant lines but, as someone earlier stated, was put ina vice and squished in.

So I take it you will not be a purchasing one....

For those that don't know what I'm talking about or understand how the image is dostorted, or why cars often look subtley different in person, check this out:
"In addition to giving a wider angle of view, the image produced by a wide-angle lens is more susceptible to perspective distortion than that produced by a normal lens, because they tend to be used much closer to the subject...Photograph of some stone steps that highlights the perspective from a wide angle lens."

Definitley wait until you see it in person. The wide angle lens is distorting the picture. The best one so far is the profile shot of the car driving in Germany.

Yep, basing opinions on all these camo'd "spy photos" is kind of silly... you have to look past the tape.
For views of some of the best proportions (and interior shots), check out the R&T Video.

Thanks for the vid...That sinks it...Im getting a 370z. The potential is ridiculous. I love the rear. The video deffinately shows the visual balance that was missing from the wide angle pics in this thread.
Hence why there are even more "It looks tall, short and squished" comments.
Even when there were quite a few previous posts stating lens distortion and or camera angles..
^ It's not like we have never seen lens distorted pics of 350Zs.
Basically, take one pic with the same camera of a 350Z and another pic of the 370 and the 370 STILL will look fugly compared to the 350.
Doesn't get any simpler than that, my friends.

Style is subjective, but I think the 370Z has a much more coherent, refined, fluid shape to it. Thumbs up, from me. And to each their own, but it seems like a lot of people share that viewpoint.
I wonder what the ratio would be for those that like/don't like... if you compared numbers for those stats for that also own/don't own...
Seems to be a lot of haters are current owners, which sounds like blind denial to me...
