They're definitely growing on me.

 

I reserve judgement until I LA Auto Show.

 

I don't like the lights, but they won't keep me from buying one. (As long as it doesn't have a hood hump...LOL )

 

There is a little Audi R8-esque bling to the lights, not bad when you look at the car as a whole.

Now the teeth on the bumper thats another conversation.. nasty..

 

There's an assumption being made by some of the members here. If someone has a 350Z and doesn't like the new headlights/taillights, this does not necessarilly mean they are prejudice.

I don't like them because they don't fit the car from an aesthetic perspective. Look at the 350Z from the rear quarter (either side). You will see the body lines converge at the tip of the taillight like an X. The roof line comes down and transfers to the lower edge of the taillight while the body line that runs along the top of the door (bottom of window) and straight back, continues along the top of the taillight.

The headlights blend with the hood, completing a broad "V" shape that continues down to the front grill while not disrupting the visual shape of the fenders. They also slope down along with the rest of the front end in keeping with the overall shape and theme.

This isn't a big deal but it's something I appreciate about the car. The new 370Z headlights and taillights stick out like a sore thumb for me. They do not compliment anything on the rest of the car and just look weird.

 

I was suspect about the teeth, but I am loving them now! I was setting aside funds for some sort of body kit to change that. Not anymore!!

 

I love both the headlight and tail lights of the new 370z. I actually like everything about that car! Can't wait!

 

I'm sorry, where are the officially released photos? I must have missed them.

Or it could be just a bunch of people speculating on what they've seen covered in camo and in PS pics.

I'm going to reserve judgement until I see it in person, but my $.02 is that it's going to look good. Nissan's not that stupid.

 

when the new Z comes out someone will ask if they can retrofit the new lights on the old 350z.

 

Lights would be awesome if they removed the curls. I wonder if they were thinking of that since they taped that part on the camo'd versions

 

Don't know yet. I think they'll flow quite nice with the car once it's actually revealed in full.

 

Nope but that's just based off spy pics, in saying that though I can't ever really see myself liking "boomorang" shapped lights.
