Oh no! Not one of these 370Z vs. xxxxx brand car comparisons. You're only going to get someone saying "if you like that car go to that that forum ... blah blah blah".

STI and Evo X are in a different/higher class than the 370z I'm pretty sure. I don't think any of the mentioned 370z competition so far can compete with these two... straight lines aside.

It's a luxury sports car after all. And not to mention, the 335i's should be significantly more expensive.
Thats what im thinking, A nicely loaded 335i comes in at 46K.
Not to mention they run 4.8 stock add juice box and to the competition.
G37 over a 335I.. G37 handles like a boat and way slower cuz it soo damn hefty . I cannot see that association whatsoever..
Obviously we want our future Z to be superior to others but comon people!!!!

You think the RSX is a joke until the driver throws the NOS switch and leaves you in the dust!

Let me put it this way, everyone, get ready for "Should I get a 370z or evo x" / "should I get a 370z or Sti" threads.

Usual suspects...

A fully loaded 335i can cost you as high as $53,000.

I'm sure the 370Z should have no problem outperforming the 335i, though not by a big margin. But again, they are just two different cars.

And as far as the G37, im assuming you haven't driven one if you think they handle like a boat. A G37S actually handles very well, especially when you consider a ~3660 lb weight figure.

Thats what I was wondering. This guy thinks the STI and EVO are in a higher class? WTF?

Seriously Subaru and Mitsu kind of dropped the ball on these two cars. Sure they handle better than the previous version but in the power department they are no better. I can speak better about the STI since I'm also a suby owner and frequent the boards. The new STI is actually slower than the previous STI. Not to mention the 09 WRX is almost just as fast as the STI. Both the EVO X and 08 STI got minimal power gains. It seems as if both companies were okay to fall behind with the power as long as they made both cars handle better. The 370z will mop the floor with both cars stock vs. stock. I'm not even sure a stage II 08 STI will do much against the 370z.

Personally I think Japan car makers as a whole are really dialing back the power. As already mentioned the STI and EVO got minimal gains. The 370z's 332hp is also not anything spectacular and most people were expecting/hoping for more. Toyota doesn't even have anything sports oriented except for the IS-F. Honda, well Honda only really has the S2k which isn't anything comparable to the Z, STI, or EVO. All the while the domestics are bringing big numbers. Just not sure why Japan is holding back when they could easily make their cars with more hp. I digress

Anyone know if there is a body style redesign for 2009 COMARO compared to 2008?

Actually i have driven one thats why i said it handled like a boat. My friend has one but with the standard 18inch wheels though not the S type!! Maybe that will make a slight difference . I didnt like the car at all when driven though

In a 1/4 mile race, the M3 may only have a few tenths advantage over the 370 (yes, I'm bench racing at the moment). Remember that the torque out of the M3's V8 is barely higher than the 370. The M3 shines in the upper power band and should dominate a roll race..

On a track - depends on the track. The M3 is heavy (the biggest reason it wasn't well received by BMW fans at launch).

Time will tell, but after driving a E92 M3 for an extended period of time, I think I understand the cars capabilities. Once I get behind the wheel of a 370z, I'll know how close they are.

I think the new STI/EVOs are going to have a hard time competing with the new 370Z stock vs. stock. Their heavier, less powerful, and both have a horrible turning radious.

From personal experience the 335Is are pretty over rated...

The Z is a mass marketed sports car.

The STI is a rally homologation car.

The EVO is now just a mass marketted 4 door factory tuner car.

IMO, Z >STI/EVO.

FYI, the STI is ligher than the 370Z. The new EVO is a pig (although it doesn't turn like one)
