Default 370Z Performance Potential/Reliability

I am going to get either a 2007 Touring in January or a Base 370Z in the spring. Long term reliability between the two cars after mods?? Obviously its speculation because we don't know enough about the 370Z yet but any thoughts are appreciated.

Anyone who has seen the 370Z in person let me know how it compares to pictures...I think the 350Z looks 10X better in person than in pictures, same thing with the 370?

In the poll....click 2008 for a 370Z vote, my bad a misprint

Looks way better in person.

As far as reliability, out of the box it is going to be just as reliable as you would expect from any other nissan product. When mods are involved, its all about how many mods and how much money you throw at it to keep it safe. At that point its really not nissans problem, they engineer everything to work and work reliably in stock form.

On the trim levels, although i think the new leather is nicer and better quality (leather sides and perf. soft suede like centers) i still like the cloth trim better. Other than leather, bose, and nav, there really is no other gadgets on this car. No rear view cam or birds eye cam like on other nissan/infiniti. It would make me rethink the package, if there were more technology involved.

What about like the difference between the 07 and 06 for example though....the HR having 80% rebuilt and higher rev limit, better parts = more longer term reliability after a twin turbo?? With the same money spent and all of course

Don't you mean 2010 370z base? No question 370z.

Ya I have read places about the 2010 370Z....I thought it is coming out in the spring as a 2009 370Z? Either way, I am talking about the one that you can get soon haha.

Let me know if you agree with this line of reasoning....taking a 370Z and doing a lot of work with bolt ons down the rode might be a bad a$$ option to increase performance and maintain the reliability rather than twin turboing. But yaa a 370Z twin turboed mmmm that would be something.
