True its just a picture but the quality "looked" questionable from what i see.
Personally i would never buy a base model so im sure the higher Touring and Grand Touring will look way better!!!..
Haha it's the same design, but with leather seats and different door material. Did you look at the features list? There is no Grand Touring. There is a Standard and Touring Z, and the biggest difference (besides BOSE audio) is the door and seat material.

Did'nt see the feature list actually ... But that picture i saw for whatever reasons angle whatever made the interior look cheap to me
I cannot judge the car from a picture i know that off course.. Hopefully when i see it in person my pov will change..

Those blocked off fang covers probably pop off if you were to run a CA intake. Some cars have those caps that are covers in place of optional fog lights but doubt that in this case.

I really don't like any of the gauges at all.

Different front bumper, tint drop, wheels, subtle spoiler (like I have seen in some pics of it) and lights and I might be able to get over the interior. To me in some ways the interior looks cheaper or at lest tackier than my '06.

I do like the overall shape of the outside and the body lines as a whole though but I wouldn't buy one.

I'm going to SF next week to check it out and we'll see if it really does look better in person.
Where will it be in SF next week? I am going to San Jose tomorrow for the follow the Z tour to see it, but if anyone wants to meet in the city to see it I am game.

Thanks for the pics Cheb!

Default Rims from Sears?

Cheston, money pictures! Very thorough! I don't have to see this wretched car in person now, thanks man!

Seriously, these are THE WORST RIMS EVER Yep, the exterior of this car is a colossal failure. Wake me up when the mid-model refresh occurs

The interior, on the other hand, is magnificent. If only the 350's looked anything like this.

Ok...so let me try this again.

You already have the brembo's on the Grand Touring. The rays wheels are nice I will admit.

BUT:
Extra Welds: Who gives a ****
Nismo Cluster: Probably cost Nissan 5 cents to change, Who gives a ****
Limited Edition Plaque: Is this to make your butt feel better after getting ****ed...Who gives a ****
Red Stitching: GAY and Who gives a ****
"Different" Seat covers: Do I need to say it?

Look, the bottom line is that you pay 5000.00 for something that probably cost Nissan 1,000-1,500. Now I dont know about you, but that sounds like a ****ing rip off...lady.

Go do some more Nismo

[QUOTE=Chebosto;6581670]i took the picts everyone else failed to take pictures of..

tonite was a Source Interlink Media Unveiling of the 370z in downtown LA at the J Lounge... pretty snazzy event.. Chris Forsberg, Rhys Millen, Tanner Foust, Dai Yashiro were there, along with some Nissan Marketing folks.

pretty dope show..

i think i was the first one to take underbody picts. rofl..

some interesting notes:

5. the teeth? they direct air to... nothing.. it's blocked off! fail.

Hmmm. What's up with this then?? Any thoughts???

I think they just were trying too hard on the center console.
Wait so is that not wrapped in leather then? Because that's what it looks like. The side of the center console looks like it's wrapped in leather as well. That would be pretty stupid if it's not.

The interior materials look cheap, because I'm sure they are. A flash is brutal about showing texture and details.

I really don't like how the center-console looks stuck-on like a late 90's saturn. The 350s interior flows much better.

I do like the faux-suede seat surfaces. I also like the change in shape for the main gauge cluster although the digital read-out on the left pod looks really out of place.

And the base model does not get the cool pedals? That's lame... How much are pedals?

The Diff switch was a differential cooler installed for press [ab]use. it will not be in the production cars.

Anus delete mod ftw. Just paint the whole section between the exhausts black.

I like the car and am excited that a new z is out but i will not be getting rid of my 07 for this one. It's not enough of a step up (as far as I can tell). That may change when the press gets ahold of it. It's cheaper for me to mod mine and it'll prolly be more capable than a stock 370.

I'll never buy a new Nissan again (unless I get a GTR). Too much of a depreciation hit. Try 33% depreciation in one year on my 07! That's outrageous!

If I don't get a GTR and this 370 turns out to be a brawler, I might buy a used one at some point and mod it, but I am in no rush.

Umm, you bought an 07, a fourth model year of a car that's price steadily increased since 03. Also you bought it at the peak of the US economy and are comparing it to the valley?

The guys with 03s are probably pretty pleased with their depreciation.
