you guys should do your homework before talking about things you obviously don't know about.
Stop guessing at weights, look 'em and stop bashing someone who is driving and not looking at a fact sheet.
He's driving, you're not, so what's your excuse for being wrong?

His numbers are better than most of yours, so maybe he would make a better car show host than you think.

heaviest is about 3578. vert...

Stop back pedaling. You were obviously wrong. Because when someone specifically said that the 3500lb weight is for a convertible, you said he was wrong. Also, Tanner Foust's drift car is NOT a convertible, he has a 2005 base which weighs 3200lbs stock. No matter which way you put it, the guy was wrong and so were you. Now please leave this thread since you have contributed nothing to it but stupid assumptions.

So he drove for four hours, and made a 2 minute video? He should never review a car again

And ladies, let's try and stay on topic.

^^^ where is the fun in that?

I posted factual numbers from Nissan's website about the heaviest Z which are the 09 verts, heavier than the 3578 posted. They only "assumptions" made were about weights that people didn't actually know (yourself included Arnold). I feel like we are going in circles. Let's just agree to disagree because you don't understand english. You were wrong.

When he mentioned the 3575 weight, didn't he say this was for his drift car? If im assuming right which I hope, wasn't his drift car the yellow z with the ings front? I know there is a roadster with a whole cage setup that has the sears logo on the side, but dont think he was talking about that one. He'd be correct if he was using the vert though.

I honestly don't know what his drift car was, I was just making a point.

Nobody's going around in circles. Nobody once mentioned the 3500lb weight being a convertible. We all said that a regular Z weighs much less than that and that ONLY the convertible weighs 3500+lbs, to which YOU said was wrong implying that Nissan's website itself shows a 5AT 350Z GT weighs 3600lbs, when Nissan website actually says it is the convertible that weighs 3600 - a claim you refuted earlier on. It's all up there in this thread, you made an *** out of yourself by trying to make us look idiots, but it backfired on you bad. Tanner Foust's car is not a convertible, so there was no need to bring up those weights in the first place. TreeFiddy is correct, the heaviest Z weighs 3300lbs, because that's what Foust drives, a normal coupe, not a convertible.

Now stop posting for the sake of this forum.

Which is a convertible. Which is NOT what Foust drives. Which has nothing to do with a regular Z coupe. Foust has a 2005 base model, which now weighs 2900lbs in race/drift prep form.

A. Someone said heaviest is 3575 a vert
B. Also said HEAVEST is GT (its a GT vert) , which is what you were talking about. The heaviest Z.
C. Please take your own advice.

My God. But nobody was talking about convertibles, because that's not what Tanner Foust drives. Argh. When we talk about the heaviest Z being 3300lbs, we naturally refer to the coupe. Everyone knows that a convertible is inherently heavier - there is no need to even bring it up. TreeFiddy's point still stands, the 08 GT Coupe is the heaviest Z. No one cares about the convertible.

Silly question. Why are we even talking about verts? Since the 370 doesn't have one, that's the eternal "apples and oranges".
Anyway. I want one. Vert or not.

No matter how stupid this thread has become, there are multiple errors spoken in the video:

Moving the rear axle forward 7 inches?

No, 4 inches.

Moving the rear wheels forward means "better" balance with more weight on the rear wheels?

No. LESS weight on the rear wheels, and the balance is 1% worse f/r.

The 350Z that "I compete in starts life as a 3575 pound car".

No.

"This car is 350 pounds less".

No.
