Like the current crap system..This new one also would be super simple to swap out as well.

Every OEM system sucks imo.
Thanks Greg. I didn't know such a product existed. I'm definitely not as aware of the automotive stereo offerings.

Turns out I jumped the gun on this post entirely. The base Z will get the cheap looking single disc player. There is a stereo upgrade that has a 6 disc changer and uses the full faced stereo and three dials for the AC controls (See picture A in original post).

Base model stereo is absolute junk. I swapped out the head unit with an Alpine 9887 - problem is nobody makes a harness to tie into the steering wheel controls. Had the even worse door speakers swapped out with a 6.5" component set - custom plates had to be made for each piece. The Nissan speakers are the LIGHTEST speakers I have ever held in my life - might as well has no voice coil on the 6.5" driver and the dash speaker isn't even a true tweeter.

How was it removing everything (door panels, dash etc)? Are the acoustics better than the 350? Half of the 370's speaker grill isn't covered over/ filled in with plastic, is it?

I wish you could buy a car to spec with only the option your want. Like get a car and not have to pay for a POS overpriced factory stereo, speakers, ect.

InTheDark To hell with the Radio that interior close up is on par with the Popular and expensive Audi TTs, the thick thread stichting is off the hook and rich looking dash cover looks awesome. I wish my 350Z had that interior not to mention the steer wheel looks thicker and softer. By the way the radio don't look half bad surrounded by that rich deep expensive looking interior.

Man that is nice 370Z this time Black here I come, I sure wish I could keep my Red 05 too, but such is life.

Damn that interior is off the chain!! The only thing that would make that picture look any better is me in that car instead of you ;-)!!!

Rock on Man! Hell that looks nice!

stop being cheap and buy a nice double din dvd player for your 370 and stop bitching about the stock stereo.

I replaced my 07 unit with the AVIC system - and I LOVE IT! The stock system on the 350 has been lacking for some time and the 09 370Z has done a better job- but still lacks a basic MP3 player found on a Ford Focus. The Z should have a decent stereo - at least something that compares to standard aftermaket products from five years ago- but at least they have an input jack for an MP3 player/iPod... I just don't understand why they don't have Bluetooth and Mp3 as standard products for our market.

It's the perfect candidate for a double DIN DVD receiver! I would prefer the JDM delete option though.

When I had the 350Z, I bought the enthusiast with the crap stereo. I swapped it out the first week I had it and replace all the speakers. the rear factory speakers had so much resistance that they were barely audiable. Once these were replaced, the rear sound stage came alive. I wonder if they did the same with the rears in with the 370Z.

I would like to defend the "Blose" system in the G37, though. With the premium package, it really does sound pretty good for factory; better than most I've heard. All it really needs to complete the sound is another sub to really bring out the really low bass. The 2 10s in the door just can't do it.
