I'm not sitting here pretending the Acura looks that great, but nice try. Just because kids love your ricer NISMO doesn't mean that anyone with taste does.

So now the NISMO is a rice car? Wow you really are showing your arrogance. Do you even know what a ricer car is?

The so called "body kit" on the nismo Z isn't necessarily for looks. It's purpose is to actually create downforce on the car, in the nismo Z's case it's all about function over form.

1. RICER
(Ricer: from the latin word Ricarius meaning to suck at everything you attempt)
A person who makes unecessary modifications to their most often import car (hence the term "rice") to make it (mostly make it look) faster. The most common modifications are (but not limited to):
- Huge exhaust that serves no purpose but to make the car louder
- Large spoiler on the back that looks like something Boeing made for the 747
- Lots of after-market company stickers they don't have parts from, but must be cool
- Expensive rims that usually cost more than the car itself
- Bodykit to make the car appear lower, usually accented with chicken wire
- Clear tail lights and corner signals
- A "performace intake"- a tube that feeds cold air to their engine usually located in areas of excessive heat (behind or on top of the engine)
- Most of these riced cars (a.k.a. rice rockets or rice burners) are imports; Honda Civics, Accords, Integras, CRXs, RSXs, Del Sols Mitsubishi Eclipses, Lancers, Subaru Imprezas, however there are some domestics such as Chevrolet Caviliers, Dodge Neons, Ford Focus; small, slow, economy cars designed specifically to go slow. Please note that some Supras, Skylines, WRX's and other higher performance imports are designed to go fast, and are therfore not always considered rice. It really depends on the severity of the case.
The "ricer" attempts to make their car "performance" by adding the modifications listed above. These ricers are not confined to any one ethnic group or color, however different ethnic groups are known for certain styles.
Honda Civics with big spoilers and 4" exhaust tips are considered to be ricers.

That's funny. It isn't just a body kit, it actually works and causes down force unlike all the body kits that are out for the car that don't do anything other than looks. I suggest you stop posting before you make yourself look any worse.

I have never owned a 350 nor have I even seen a 370 in person, but the car tests I have read so far have said that the 370 outperformed the NISMO, except in braking which was something like 3ft difference.
I don't really give two ***** less either way, just reporting what I've read.

I haven't seen one test that showed it "out perform" the nismo yet. The both performed the same in all areas.

"While not equal to the DBS the 370Z is speedier than the race bred 3.5 liter NISMO we ran in 2007, which reached 4.9 and 13.5 at 103.9, repectively making the 370Z the quickest production Z we've ever tested."
It also says it's the "stickiest" Z they've ever tested too. I don't have a scanner but here's a pic.

Happy to educate you then. In this month's Motor Trend test of the 370 is the following:
"While not equal to the DBS the 370Z is speedier than the race bred 3.5 liter NISMO we ran in 2007, which reached 4.9 and 13.5 at 103.9, repectively making the 370Z the quickest production Z we've ever tested."

The 350Z NISMO on a road course will kick the 370z butt due to downforce in high speed turns.
Put some better tires on the NISMO than the crappy RE050s and you will see a big difference. The 370z comes with much better tires from the factory.

Sorry but that just means it has better tires and no downforce body kit to slow it down like the NISMO has. A better comparison would have been the normal 350z vs the 370z.

LOL, okay like I said I don't care one way or the other. My dick doesn't get any bigger when one car is faster than the other.
Just sharing what I've read from actual auto journalists and road tests. Obviously you can change dozens of variables that will alter a car's performance, my take is that they are comparing stock 370 with a stock NISMO, and the NISMO was outperformed in their test.

The 370z again comes with better tires. The times they show again are right with what the NISMO has done. Neither one is better than the other. And no one here magazine races/talks because magazine auto journalists most of the time don't know crap.

If you want to admit it or not or side step the observation or not, the rear of the NISMO 350z is an abortion. Function ruining form or not.
