A company offering cost on sponsorship is pretty standard.

The company gets some advertisement material, and the 370z owner gets some desired wheels cheaper then he could otherwise. it's a logical trade, the savings will be well in to the hundreds for not much of their time.

A company offering at below cost on sponsorship is a better incentive to the owner of the car being sponsored

I'm just saying, if a sponsor is selling at cost, then it's not losing money. Yeah, they are losing money in the sense of opportunity cost, where they could've have sold the rims to someone else ABOVE the cost, but the sponsored car is basically a rolling advertisement for the company, and the sponsor asking to use their car on the ads, etc.

Don't get me wrong, some people are fine with getting things at cost and that's a nice deal, but if the sponsor is getting some benefit in return (exposure by advertisements, etc), I would think at least they could offer a small discount on the wheels to improve the deal.

I guess it all really depends on the conditions of the sponsorship, they mention ads/websites/"etc", whatever etc might mean.

Just my $0.02

the reality is someone will go for it so they don't need to offer better.

1 - they probably need to use the car to measure backspacing and fender clearances, then get the wheels with the offsets and try out some different sizes maybe (if there are in-stock items that will fit)

2 - at cost is pretty good considering you have no downside except maybe a couple hours to get pics done and fitment.

3 - no strings afterwards.

but whatever.

Heres the thing , by me giving wheels away ,its not going to happen. We already have three of the 370z contact us since I bump the thread. Also , you want a free set of wheels , show us were the car is going to be? Example- magazines “ front cover “ , shows , sema “09” etc. the little car meets around town in your area ,we cant do that. Also , by us shooting the car with our wheels , we are going to use it for advertisements in a few magazines ,so not only your getting the wheels at cost , the customer is helping us with using the car ,and we are also putting the customers car in ads.

I don't think anyone is saying you should give them away for free, but simply saying there could be a little more of an incentive. Even $50 off is more of an incentive than cost. My .02
