It's gotta be a sales gimmick to get people into that Carmax.

Its true...Carmax does that all the time here with new cars. First or not there are quite a few others in the area still on lots.

The one in Hardeeville, SC was going to give 2k off a black 6mt with the sport package. Bad time for me though paying for a 20k wedding right now.

Ouch, that's a double whammy - getting married and paying for it. At least the 370Z will not have a headache and is always willing to be driven hard, can't say that for other things in life.

Interesting...

Looking at the pics...

It's a touring with sport package, but no nice HVAC controls

Base on those pics, you do not get the upgraded a/c controls with the touring package - only with the NAV package.

That sucks! I would order the nav anyway, but for those that want the "nicer" dash controls, you have to pay for the full pony (touring AND Nav).

BTW, those cheaper controls are not as nice as the 06-08 HVAC controls. The 06-08 HVAC controls have rubber grips on them and they stick out about an inch - very easy to grab and twist without getting your nails on the panel behind (If a girl or have long nails or big hands).

The new "cheaper" controls only stick out a half-inch or so and are kinda slippery to grab and twist. And I have small hands.

That pretty much sums up the state of our economy. It's a buyers market, no doubt.

I think you're right. But it does depend on where you live the Nissan dealership near me wants full price for their 370Z and the one 30 min away was willing to sell it for 2k below sticker. Bad time to sell a 2 seater I guess.
