But then maybe not they have the Altima priced at $19k 2 door baisc and Chyrsler still selling its 300sc for $32k.

But $53k is way too much, unless you live in Canada.
It is because of the taxes.

In PR we have a huge “special” tax on Cars and as the MSPR increases also the tax percentage increases. Also less competition means dealers can mark up the prices for more time than in the USA.

I have a 2003 350z which cost me 35k base vs. the 26k in the USA. (and I got a good deal).

This 53K 370Z probably is a top of the line with Sport Package as the 2003 track was selling here from 48K to 52K in 03’

Some Prices in PR
GTR – 135K
Z06 – 100-120k
C6 - 70K
ZR1 – 230k
GT500 – 70K
Challenger SRT8 - 70K

Various media in Australia including Nissan Australia have said the price is unchanged, I understand a mark-up of the first few cars to come in as the demand is the perfect opportunity for profiteering. But that is disgustingly marked up, they should start comming down real soon, they've been out in the states for a bit now havn't they?

I might want to add something here. Here in PR the 350z is like they say a "Doctors car" cause still a 2003 z cost about 25,000. Then I hear you selling them at like,12,000 and I say "I got ripped"!. Funny thing is that the Z here is like the GT-R in USA. If you have one you are the S*it!!

Right now the economy here in Puerto Rico is way tooo bad to be buying a car for 53,000 so I hope Nissan can make a good price and let the z be a buyer's car , than a Garage looking car.

Just went over there to look at the cars in display, one is a red 370Z(base) the other is a 370Z touring 7spd auto two tone interior sport package.
Prices are $37k for the basic one and $50K to the touring (just save $3k already)
The prices are good for PR and a steal for that base considering I paid $35K on 2003 and the performance and handling boost that you will get on 2009 for just $2k.

Hell, just considering my bolt on mods I spent $7K to probably be at the same PWR at 271WHP.

LOL in Australia the 350z touring model was 65k with the track at 73k and im pretty sure the 370z is roughly 70k as well.

I used to think (certain) prices were high in the US. I will probably never complain again. Best of luck to some of you overseas guys...

I'm just in amazement... wow.

This was at the Plaza las Americas mall, right?

I just came back from PR yesterday and was at this mall on Thursday. Each 370z didn't have a price sticker on it and the Nissan sales woman was busy talking to other interested 370z shoppers so I didn't ask for prices. I'm glad that I live in the US states because those prices are way too much. The red 370z really stood out in the mall but the stock 18" rims did no good on it.

I was at PR for a week and only saw one 350z and two G35 coupes. I saw a lot Mercedes and Audis'.

It seemed like everyone had a Lancer. I loved the weather, food and scenery and most people were very friendly but PR definitely has the worst drivers.

Yes, it was in Plaza.
We are used to it already ,it is been like this for many years, and as the base price of the cars increases the tax % goes up (are considered luxury) so the price difference between PR and you in the estates also increases.

Would you pay $52K for a base G37 coupe?
How about $46k for an STI?
