So far I've got 2 dealers down to $500 over invoice (about $2K under sticker) on a base model. You might get even bigger discounts on the high price touring models.

FYI Invoice pricing:
Base model: $28000
Touring: $32000

Add $1100 for Auto, $2600 for Sport package.

WOW that amazes me.
I have seen 4 on the road here in Michigan already.

I went into a lot and they had the one in the showroom and that was it, they had sold all of the other ones already.

Though in Michigan you do get better deals on Nissans, it is a very small market for them.

They will never lower the price, but as stated give incentives..
Keep in mind the Z has never been a real brea winner or big seller for Nissan, they'll just cut production now with the economy the way it is...

Thumbs up If you shop there are Deals

some great deals on Zs in SE USA especially in economy torn FL. My bet you can surely buy at dealer cost and even better. Just follow the ones on Ebay not sold since the day thaey hit the dealers lot. It is not just the Z but all cars not selling. I bet you can knock off a GT-R now.

whoever says they will never lower the price you guys are crazy. You could get a brand new base 350z for 22k here... Just be patient, wait till the fall when the economy is super in the crapper and the dealers are looking to push the 09s out the door and you will get several gs below invoice

You would think that since all the american car companies are selling cars at employee discount (plus other discounts), that the other car companies would do the same to get in to competition -___________________-

At the nissan dealership I went to, I told the salesman that there is no way you will sell a $48,000 370Z. To this day, they haven't sold any of the ones they got on the lot

Bring the price down *******s

I went to the local Nissan dealer after work today to check out their cars, they had 3 370z's available. I was there for an hour and I was their only customer. I test drove a Touring Sport, was very nice.

They are definitely willing to part with them for below invoice, just shop around.

Im really considering picking a 370z up sometime this year. Any thoughts on the best time to pull the trigger on one? Im hoping to pick a base model with sport package and the 7 speed auto for between 32-32.5k Are the dealers letting em go for that price or will be unreasonable to expect them to go that low? Also can anybody confirm i cant find it for sure anywhere on the web. The economic stimulus that passed did the provision for being able to deduct sales tax on a new vehicle purchased in 09 make it in or did it get cut?

Scythenc, I think you could get that price without too much trouble. Last night I talked my local dealer down to 31.2K on a base sport with 6MT (incl. Dest). Add in $1100 for the auto and you're in the ball park. Sales are particularly bad on sports cars this time of year, and the bad economy is making them down right desperate.

Yes, the stimulus bill passed with the sales and excise tax deduction for your federal taxes for vehicles costing less than $49.5K. The proposal to deduct interest on the car loan was cut. You can purchase any time up until Dec 31st 2009.

Problem is even with those discounts there is still nobody buying. Probably not much incentive for others to follow suit. I think even people with money are now holding back, afraid to make the big ticket purchase. Plus with resale and depreciation rates getting worse by the day, it doesn't even pay to buy new anymore.

Exactly. I was going to pull the trigger on a Challenger R/Tfor 32k, but the I saw an SRT used for 34(It was sold alreaddy though). I thought why not just wait a few for months. It's not worth it to buy new anymore like you said

Damn the interest part didnt make it? thats part i was really hoping for. That way if choosing between the rebate or low interest on a vehicle like many are offering. I could have taken the rebate and then just deducted the interest off my taxes. *sigh* Oh well. I guess I'll wait a while like a few other people said. For some used ones to hit the market cause it is true depreciation hits em so fast. I'll find one in a few months with 10k miles or less and it'll be under 30k prolly under 29 or 28k.

edit: just found this on yahoo auto's when i searched for used 370z's found few already ha ha ha. its a base model with a 7 spd auto. and if the ad is right only 100 miles on it and its selling for $27,777. Somebody might wanna check this out if they dont want one with the sport package.

http://autos.yahoo.com/used-cars/nis...n&distance=any

found a 6 speed manual with a sport package. 480 miles. $30,788 *sigh* if only it was 7 speed. its the color i want to a blue one and its in my state NC.

Scythenc, talk to your local dealer.

They might be able to find something that you can't, there are a lot of extra cars sitting in holding yards at the moment that aren't accounted for.

The car I'm in the process of buying from my local dealer was not in their inventory, and when I did a search for cars matching the specs the closest one I could find was 400 miles away.

Even though it wasn't their car they were still willing to sell it for below invoice so don't despair.

If you are able to wait I'm sure you will find some great deals on people having to dump their cars unexpectantly.

Very true and people are just holding onto there paid for or almost paid for cars. Bankston Nissan in Irving had the same Blue base with sport package automatic for nearly 2 1/2 months before it sold according to my salesman Nick D. and I test drove it back in Jan and it had 60miles on it then, and it went for 600 under sticker.

Stopped into the local Nissan dealer here in downtown Chattanooga~two weeks ago to see if they had a 370 in, which they did. Only one though in silver. I did not pay any attention to what model it was but the sticker was $31,000.

Default They are not selling

And no cars are selling so BIG DISCOUNTS and leases will abound this summer. Even the GT-Rs are at sticker on Ebay and not selling.
Just check 'completed sales" on ebay and see. 370zs not even $5k under sticker bids.
I'm waiting for a 2010 GT-R if the economy gets better and I am still in business myself.
The future has changed!

I have not yet seen one on the road yet. I do plan on leasing a 6-speed w/ sports package within the next few months. How much would payments be if i don't put any down?
