Question 370Z Price Drop?

Anyone for see a price drop on the new 370z? I got one priced out with $5000 down for a 42 month lease I was looking High 400s to Mid 500s.

Anyone see rebates or anything in the near future?

Thanks,
Ryan

I live in LA and have only seen one so far on the road. I stopped by a big dealer to get a hands on...and so far they have 7 in...and have sold 0.

I would wait until they deal. The rep confirmed Nissans best sellers now are the Versa, Sentra, Altima Hybrid and Murano. Murano? Yeah..people who need an SUV are dumping monster ones for the semi-lux Murano.

If you care about $$...hold out.

I'm def getting one...but in a year or so after first year bugs are worked out - plus, I have an 08 G35S I want paid off first.

You just have to look around and be prepared to travel to get your 370z. There are plenty of dealers out there that are selling at invoice and even a few that will do 200 below invoice. Not sure how that translates to leases but the point is keep searching until you find a good deal because in this economy there are good deals out there.

Don't look for a price drop - ever. Nissan may offer incentives, and maybe even rebates but they will never cut the price.

My guess is that the 370z base price will hit the $35k mark by 2010.

You heard it here first...

The reason their not selling is the same reason ANY 2 door sports coupe isn't selling. The economy. It's as simple as that. When I went in to purchase mine, I knew that if they wanted to sell the car, they would meet most of my demands. And even though the car was listed at $5,000 over sticker, that was the first thing to come off. I may have paid sticker but not a penny over. Now I didn't expect to get too much more than that because the car is brand new and a hot item for the money with all the press and all. Of course I also walked in with $10,000 cash in hand so I wasn't exactally screwing around.

Actually, people have been getting 370z's at invoice but it takes a little time to research and shop around. I have 40 Nissan dealerships within 100 miles of where I live so it is easier for me to compare prices.

It's going to be hard to work out the bugs if they don't sell enough 370's to have as a test bed. Even the company beta cars being driven around can't simulate everything. The current economy is really making it tough on the 370's debut. I haven't seen any on the road in my area and know a couple other guys who have 350's. They haven't seen any either. This is the DC Metro area I'm speaking of. My dealer had only one 370 on the lot (a base model in black).

Thats just greedy. At these prices the Z isnt the best for the buck in its price range because that price range has gone up to Corvette levels. Pay Corvette Prices for 1/2 the performance. Wow, lets all get in line.
