nice win for the 370z
the v6 gen coupe would probably have been a better match though

That commentator/narrator sucked, but yeah the 370z was quick. Genesis...meh, it's pretty damn good for a Hyundai but not good enough to make me switch.

Yeah, I mean it's not bad for Hyundai's first real performance effort...but sometimes 3.8 liters doesn't add up to the same performance. It basically ran worse than VQ35DE times. They just have some technological catch-up to do with weight, suspension, and engines. They are on a better track though, and their Genesis sedan doesn't look bad at all (for a Hyundai ).

I dunno. The 2.0 Turbo might have stood just as good a chance. When I had my Evo IX (2.0 liter 4 banger) at stage 1 it was putting down 281 awhp and probably would have whupped all 3.

i stopped at the hyundai dealer yesterday in my 04Z to see the genesis coupe in person. its nice... i go to get in my car and some cocky dealers like when will youn gonna upgrade? and i go to what lol its not any faster then my 04 Z lol. and he proceeded to tell me its wayyyyyyyy faster than any stock 350Z and how its a drift monster... i tried to tell him no but he was retarded and continued so i just said ok lets race hes like ok but he wouldnt go get the keys lol. he said he had a g35 coupe witch is actually lighter and faster than a 350Z so he would know also hahahaha.

Most of the salesman at the stealerships are clueless. I wish they would just leave me alone and let me look at the car without coming up to me and tell me what I already know.

Those are some nice numbers for the 370Z, can't wait to see what it can do with a real driver. Didn't the 07-08 Z hit 13.3 with a really good driver, I'm sure conditions have a part to play. I thought it would have been faster with a 4.7 0-60?

Yeah, but this is a magazine test.

No doubt the 370Z will hit a high 12 with a capable driver. This is faster than any 350Z mag time I have seen! Woohoo, go 370Z!

The Hyundia sport Coupe was built to give the 350Z a run for it's money. Obviously the 370Z blows its tires off in every aspect, except fule gauge design. And it final trumped the V8 Ford Mustang after 03-05 being seconds behind in 0-60 and nearly matching its 0-60 time 06-08.

The other Motor Trend test run VS. the GT Mustang gave equal 0-60 time of 5.2 and 116ft 70-0 stop from the Mustang beating the 370Z by a foot. But in the quarter run the 370Z was faster.

Most Mustang GT reviews and actual street runs are 5.0 - 5.2 0-60 and the 370Z is running 4.6/7 5.0 0-60 runs and I've heard of 60-0 stops at less then 112 feet.

The 370Z is just a better Sports Car then the 350Z and the Mustang is not even in the same catagory its a Muscle/Pony Car albeit a nice one. I like the retro styling and modren performance from the Stang and few stock cars sound better the roar from a Ford V8. And another marketing ploy Ford was able to stand on its own and not ask/beg for Stimulus money I think Ford does have a better idea. I might buy a Mustang just to show support, after I sell my 350Z and get a 370Z.

I'd still buy the ZCar because that's how I Roll.

Wow... has anyone compared the 370Z to an e46 M3? track and drag... would it be pretty close?

That Z was fast... imagine with 4.08 FD, TPs and exhaust

Hyundai's bastard child gets left in the dust. Again. Starting to reek of Tiburon.

LOL, what an idiotic statement. The editor at MT already confirmed that the Gen they tested didn't have the factory ECU reflash, which should have a few tenths off its time.
