its gonna be hard to sell your 06 350z for 23,500 anyways. no one will pay that in there right mind. maybe the market is different where you live but i just bought my 06 enthusiast for 15,500 and it only had 28k miles.

I've got an '06 enthusiast with 16k miles on it. Here's the link to the thread.

Tell me fellas, if you were me, what would you sell the car for? I'm looking to get out of it soon, I've got my eye on a C6.

For 17 or 18, it wouldn't be worth selling for me. If that were the case, I'd just keep it. However, if I could move it for 20, I'd be happy. Do you think that's unreasonable?

Anything is possible, you should think about trading in...the dealers are the ones with the money, and will spend it if you can do a little bargaining...thats how i got good deals on my cars...
bought my 06 roush wholesale for 23,500 at a dealer, got 22,500 trade in for my 2007 350z, which i originally got for 26k brand new in early 08. I ended up getting 22,500 for my mustang (from a dealer) to buy my 370z at just under MSRP....

I played with the idea of trade-in. My local Nissan dealer would give me $18,000 for my car if I were to trade in for a 370, but I don't want a 370. I'm looking to buy a C6. To do that, I've gotta buy privately, because dealers want ridiculous numbers for them.

The invoice for a base 370 6 spd with floormats is $28,827. There are no rebates or factory incentives. You might be able to find a dealer that will save you a few hundred more, but not much.

Think of the tax break you'll get if your trade it in.
That's probably worth the hassle of trying to sell it all by itself. (you only pay tax on the difference in price of the cars, instead of the whole car). In my state that makes a huge difference. (10%)
It's a great time to buy a car....it's a crappy time to sell one. It's hard to win on both ends, so lose a little on your sale but think of the $$ you'll save on your purchase.
