Will you buy the new Nissan 370Z?
Hey guys,
Hopefully you caught some of the content we placed in past weeks. Ranging from a look back at the 350Z to our reviews and comparisons of the current 370Z.
Aside from us, you know you've talked A LOT about the new Z chassis ever since it was introduced. Now that it's hit the streets, you thinking about getting one if you haven't already? Why or why not? What else would you consider? In your opinion, who is competing best with the 370Z?
If you have one, how do you like it so far? What else did you testdrive before getting it?
If you missed it, you can find the question on our homepage along with past articles:
https://my350z.com/nissan-370z/2009-...ou-buy-one.php
To reiterate what we added to the question on the homepage: thanks for the strong response everyone. This feedback will be helpful towards, hopefully, creating better content for you enthusiasts. No matter your perspective, throw in your comments, suggestions, and opinions.

I would if I didn't love my 350 so much. I figure, I put $3K in mods into my car, got it up to or above the hp/tq numbers of the 370Z that costs 3K more. I think I'll be okay.
I hope.
It doesn't stop the drooling, though.

Probably, but not an '09. I'll wait a few years to see if the DI engine gets thrown in and cross my fingers that an oil cooler gets added to the sport package. '12? And I could never buy a new car, so I'll get a used one...4 years from now.

In a word no.I sat in one and it was uncomfortable for me(less side to side leg room).I don't like it's appearance, they are trying to make another 240z(i had one)and that was in the past and in my opinion thats where it should stay.Actually i want more room, not less.I drove a c-6 corvette and thought it was the same thing as i have now with more motor and less handling.I think i'll go with the Shelby GT-500,way less handling but comfortable and has a good motor.Either way the next car will be a domestic purchase.

i went and test drove one last week. IMO, the interior, handling and hp is better. but, it still drives like my Z. i wouldn't buy one. i prefer the z33 body style better. dont get me wrong. the 370z is nice. but ill keep what i have.

i would buy one if it looked like a z... it looks like a catfish with boomerang lights that pop out, wuts the point of that? nissan just looks like they were trying too hard, if they would have made some subtle changes(such as the older tt to the newer one, g35 to the g37 or even the c5 to the c6 corvette) i probably would be in the market to buy one. lets put it this way, if a girl has a beautiful body but an ugly face you would ride it but not stay with her forever haha. im sorry IMHO it doesn't flow but the performance upgrades are great. plus, i have put alot of time, effort, work and money into my car so even if i liked the looks of the 370z i would still have a tough choice to make.

can you educate us on all what you did to your 03-08 350z to get it up to 332 hp and 270 lb ft of torque that the 370z puts out, with only 3 thousand dollars in mods? im pretty sure you cant get that with bolt ons, only if you turbo it or supercharge it...and if thats the case...where in the hell did you get a full kit for 3000 dollars?

Nope. Love my 350 and I don't consider the 370 much of an improvement. Performance wise it has a slight edge, but the 350 looks waaay better in my book. There will always be a newer, faster car, but I'm glad I jumped on my 350 before Z looks went south...
And now I have another reason to go FI...

I am all about functionality, my biggest complaint would be the rear window's limited view. I do not remember it being so limited in the 240z. The gas guage sucks also. The center console beverage holder finally makes sense. What tips the balance is the power and rev matching manual tranny. Compared to my 2003 350z Track the new model feels like a V8. The rev matching tech guarantees that manual transmissions will not be replaced by paddle shifters, dual clutch, etc (this technology will be copied) and have a place in upper end sports cars. If it wasn't for my upcoming retirement and divorce, I would buy one immediately. Maybe next year.

nah, i love my 350 too much... clean and classy.
the 370 is overdesigned and appeals to a ricier crowd IMHO.
the canopy (that reflects the same design language as the GTR) is nice, but that's about the only thing i like about it - besides the improved performance, shorter wheel base, and wider/lower stance.
