Will you buy the new Nissan 370Z?
Definitely won't be getting the 370z. I love my 2008 350z Enthusiast 6spd, black on black.
I just don't like the looks of the 370z even after seeing several in person. I like the interior but I don't dislike the 350z interior at all. It just doesn't give me that same feeling the 350z did. That "I want that!" feeling. To me it just looks like they took a 350 slightly re-sculpted and then added all the generic "trendy" import tuning.
Besides I'm seriously saving up for a Ferrari and the 370 would just set me back for no good reason.

Yes as soon as I pay the 05 down. The 09 370Z is definitely a superior Sports Car then 350Z imho, with some exception to body style personally I think the 370Z looks stouter meaner. And the ability to tap into 310+ whp with bolt on hardware is definitely a plus!!
370Z as soon as i can, its still a Z. As a Matter of fact a better Z.

For the price, I think it is still represents the most compelling value for a sports car. I don't need rear seats and had great fun in my 04..
Unless I could step up to a P car or M3, I just don't see anything else.. With the DI and 350 hp coming, not to mention this engines response to bolt ons, I don't see many downsides..
The few that exist for me, Zele has answered

As tempting as it is to have the latest and greatest, realistically, how bad does one need a small bump in power and handling, a fresh interior? On a day-to-day basis, driving to and from work, to get food, to your friend's house to hang out, what does it matter?
The flip side would be.. Why not?
I can totally understand not seeing an immediate reason for guys with lower mileage Z33s, especially HR variants. I put over 100k on mine before I let it go, I Just couldn't see going back to the same car again. If you had a nice Z33 kept up, maybe the Nismo 370 will compel you
^^maybe nismoz if you like the looks but performance wise there was not much of difference i felt in 370. only thing i noticed was that brakes were more sensitive and clutch was really light
But the logical extreme of that is that we should all be driving Hyundai Accent's...
True but remember he has full bolt ons on his car with a tune. 370z's are putting out 306.4 WHP & 251 ft/lbs TQ on Dyno Dynamics or 321.3 WHP & 261.84 ft/lbs TQ on DynoJet. And thats just with an intake/HFC's/exhaust setup...no pullies, manifolds, cams, tune. Dont believe me check out this link..

But as for me, i have had my Z for 5 years now and i have been thinking of an upgrade. Before my options were a Evo 9MR, used Cayman S, or a E46 M3. Now that the new Z is out im gonna jump ship but i will wait for the 2010 model since rumors are going around that Nissan will throw out DI by then...

So I went to the dealership yesterday to see what kind of trade-in-value they would give me on my car. He goes well your car to us is worth $6,000-$8,000 whereas you think its worth $12,000. He goes we have to fix everything up and have a resale value up to $15,000 to make a profit. He goes but I will knock off up to $2,000 off MSRP on a 370Z. I told him I wanted a base with sport package. The doofus would not even let me drive the car cuz he said its a high performance vehicle. And I looked at him saying, see my 350Z over there, thats a high performance vehicle too don't you think? I should've told him if this car was over $50,000 I would understand, but come on. It's not a GT-R. I understand why they just don't want ANYONE to drive it for the shear thrill, but I am considering trading in my vehicle. Just cuz I did not want to buy on that day doesn't mean that I cannot test drive. Salesman at dealerships will always be lame.

Also, have the dealer share with you the Kelly Blue Book rating on your car if you must trade (you should look it up yourself anyway). They cannot argue against that unless they have something to hide.
If at all possible, sell your car and use the money to buy another. Trading a car always results in losing a couple grand on average. Whatever you gain from the dealer markdown you will lose in the trade. I learned this the hard way and will never do it again. Remember, used cars are the bread and butter of all car dealerships. New cars are just the lure.

But yeah probably best if I just sell the car on craigslist or attempt to. Frankly, I do not think anyone is going to buy right now hahahaha
Still on the fence. |||
Test drove:
2009 370Z w/Manual trans (similar power band-better handling,
2009 corvette w/manual trans. (more power-touring car),
2009/10 Hyundai Genesis coupe/auto (manual trans not available - no, one down);
2009 Pontiac Soletice GXP w/Auto (lacks power,interior fit-n-finish looks sub-par, handles ok)
Next test drive: 2009 Porsche Cayman S w/Manaul trans., 2010 Camaro SS with manual trans.
So many cars; so little time.

More so, like 350zQ45a said, HR owners with low mileage 350Zs. If I had an older Z, I can see it would be time to get into a new car.
