The 370Z ran around the track in 1:27.5 sec which is a bit of a disappointment. The old Z4m lap time was 1:26 flat. The C6 Corvette time was 1:26.8. The new M3 time was 1:25.9. I was hoping the 370Z could at least break into the 1.26 mark. For comparison, the new Z4 TT time is 1.28 something.

The 350Z lap time was 1:31.0 but the track probably was a bit different and it was driven by a different Stig. The E46 M3 lap time was also 1:31.0 as well. The Mustang GT500 lap time was 1:30.0 which just confirms that car is a piece of sh$t.

I'll wait till I can find the top gear review on a different site that's faster. That site/stream was taking way too long for me.

Someone early mentioned than the Z4M did a 1:26. The regular Z4 did it in 1:28. Here's the comparison video between the 370z and Z4 on the Top Gear track
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6xorPLwhYCY

It should be noted that the Australian Top Gear did a test on the 370z and also put it up against an HR 350z. Yeah, the 370z won.

in the australian one the dude didnt even put the cars against each other really, all he did was test both the cars traction control through a wet corner , how fawking lame is that. no 1/4 mile time, no lap time, no braking test . pretty gay imo

I actually like the Top Gear tests. Even though they didn't do the typical 0-60, 1/4 ... but you get to know exactly what the car is all about. One can get all the data and facts anywhere on the internet nowaday, reliable opinions are pretty hard to come by. The Top Gear guys tend to give opinions that I find usually right on the mark. To certain extend, that is also true for most British automotive journals. If you want to know 0-60, 1/4 times, then watch Motorweek. After watching Motorweek, you get all the statistics, figures, data that you can handle, and everything but the all importance raison d'être of the car.
What I also like about TopGear when they compare a group of car, they actually put them on the drag strip at the same time so you can get a visual perspective of how fast one is compared to the other. A simple idea but the American press don't do it. I wouldn't surprise though since the bottom of the barrels tend to end up doing auto journalism over here. I guess that is why we get Nascar and IRL and all that craps.

Ranting done ...

DUDEEE y is it not working? someone tell me what happened. My HR is still faster right!?!? GAHHHH!!!! hahah i honestly hope they put this topic to rest and for good. I'm so fed up with HR vs VHR debate. I'll admit my HR is slower. Enough said end of discussion. Move the eff on people. Even tho it's hard having a shrinked e-***** life goes on.

Well they do a track test at the end with their Stig, just like the UK Top Gear so you must've not watched the entire episode.

There isn't didn't do the 350z on the track test and doesn't seem to be on the board.

It was run on a wet track so probably wouldn't count.
