if its a new mustang with the track pack things could be very interesting on the road course....1/4 mile should be very close as well

 

This is cool for the '10 models. Now a 370Z vs an '11 GT might be a problem.

Correct me if im wrong here but these are not stock cars right? Cant be, who is intersted in racing and owns a stock mustang? It says street legal.

this would be fun to see, but around the twisties come on, live with in your means...straight line thats all. stock for stock right>?? So no little track pack help for the boatGT. Cuase if thats the case put the Nismo against the track packed gt. Either way the 370z will own. LoL when I go the the track I see 350z's man handle stangs...and now you want to put them up against the bigger brother..LOL

 

stock for stock the 370z will take a lead on a mustang gt..

but if someone mentions modifications then it's a guess at best..

as close to stock as possible? Tire and brake upgrades are fine then I assume? Shelby gt just comes with suspension upgrades from the factory? Its still a gt. You might want to get more specific about what "close to stock means." There are a lot of options on mustangs including gears, dampers, swaybars. I'm sure my car wouldn't count as close to stock to you but then again i already know what my stang does to Zs on the road course.

And if you want to talk nismo then lets talk fr500c.

 

should be a stock base gt and a stock base 370z for comparison sake, still seems silly

Well... looks like this might be a neat event

 

Motor Trend did an issue on the GT, 370Z and another car comparison test. The 370Z beat the Mustang in the 1/4 mile.
