/\ what i was thinking. My Z is gone when I can get my hands on the 5.0 GT... Im a mustang guy; my dad has 2 and I have one, never could bring myself to buy any of the resent models.... compared to my Z, they burn more gas and get there slower.

BUT, i dont get the point of this race...? I own GTs in my 07 atleast one time each week.

From what I have seen, the automotive press gets their hands on the car on March 29th. Either that, or they already have had there go, and can't print anything until then.

Either way, March 29th is the day you need to know.

 

too bad the idiots at RP messed up what started as a great idea. they had a 370z lined up which flopped, so they suckered someone else into taking a junkyard 350z shell, prepping it in 4 days and getting beat by the mustang. some forum member with 60 posts - great way to represent the forum.

you guys really should have posted in the regional section and had a solid backup plan if you are going to to represent forums in any way. members should have a say in who should represent their forum as well.

I heard they are botching the STi vs Evo match up all the same - picked some guys' girlfriend with a stock evo X, against a more experienced highly modded STi.

way to represent this properly while bringing positive attention to your company!

 

I knew this whole idea was a turd as soon as I saw must live in the LA area. When will TV people realize there's more people in this country besides who lives in Cali and NY!

 

This is going to be interesting...how do you regulate 2 modded and completely different cars and make them competitive? This is going to be an unbalanced competition which WILL turn into a forum war.

Maybe they can do an HR vs VHR next, who wouldn't love to see that =).

 

It's already happened and it was a horrible match of two different levels of modified cars.

shelby gt (not gt500) with full suspension and hoosiers set-up for solo2.....and probably 300-320whp vs a 260-270whp 350z on street tires and minimal suspension mods. Terrible effort by RP.

Also, seasoned driver (GT) vs a driver who wasn't (350z).

 

Oh great, so the Z is at a huge disadvantage. I guess it wasn't just a hunk of blue metal, hehe sucks to be that guy. I guess it's the forum's fault for not producing the best competitor. Maybe a 370Z forum can restore honor to the mighty Z.

99.5% of the forum had no idea because IB posted this in the 370 section on a 350 forum....the admins, etc really had no idea.
