Have you seen the latest Nissan Sport Mag? There is an article on what may me a upcoming Zee. Here is the link and cover: http://www.nissansportmag.com/
just another concept that will never see the light of day .. thankfully, in this case.
The 370z is going to be with us for a good 4 more years just like the 350z. I got hinted during a call with Nissan that we could see a turbo for the next Z after the 370.

When the whole Ford line-up gets boosted, I would think Nissan would be smart and try to boost something besides the Murano...hell even the
Buick Regal got turbo'ed

I think they are going to have to do something soon to keep interest
I'm 100% with the OP there. I can't get past the catfish styling of the new 370z. I also don't particularly like the rear humps. I mean if I want power humps, I'd be getting a Mustangs. They're both ugly but at least the Mustang got 70 ponies over the Z. Besides at least the Mustang had a somewhat cohesive design, but the 370Z just looks like a clown.

I just signed up here to revive this thread and let all you delusional ricers know that the 370 does in fact look better than the 350. I'm not even going to call you idiots jealous, because obviously you are fine with your plain ugly looking 50. And I would take the newer model's exterior, including catfish headlights, over the old one any day. It's cute that you guys think the 350 looks better, keep telling yourself that. Every time I pull my 70 to my friends 50 he can't stop staring at my car and I can't even look at his. Seriously if you guys want to talk crap about lights, the 50 has an even uglier ****. I just hate kids like you guys who think you are cool because you have an old Z worth 10 grand.

Why Nissan why?
"Clowning" around the track after passing a new M3. I think it must have been my humps?
I dont think we are going to see any more 3 series Z cars now that Mercedes is making powerplants for Nissan. Z car may disapear.
I love my 350z. I like the 370z. Will I buy the 370z, maybe, but it depends on gas prices and what up coming changes they make for the 370z. There isn't a drastic difference between the two like there was between the 300 and the 350. I think the 370z looks pretty slick, but it's not a Lamborghini Aventador in terms of styling. Even when I bought my 350z, I wasn't thinking..."holy crap this is super awesome looking". I think both cars are catered to moderate styling and they both achieve it. I do find it funny that we talk about who can afford what and whatnot. If you're driving a 350 or 370z, you're most likely middle class. The difference between making 50k and 100k is a joke to the upper class. It's like monkeys competing over who can sling their dung the farthest while the handlers watch in amusement.
Sincerely doubt it... The Z line up is the best selling sports car in history.
Proof is in fact they have pretty much cut all 370Z promotions at auto shows, trade publications, etc, no real rumblings of a new model or even a new motor when everyone is going to direct injection or smaller turbo 4's. The car as it sits wont stand up to new fuel standards around the world. The New Porsche Boxster has technoloogy that boosts cars MPG over 30 MPG and they have reduced displacement to 2.7 liters from 2.9. Even new 911s have gone down to 3.4 liter motor. Mazda is gearing up for a 1.3 liter tubo Miata in 2014! New Toyota FT86 with fuel effecient 2.0 liter is hitting streets this year. Honda reving up to intoduce Hybrid NSX, Even new Vette is cutting displacement of its V8 from 6.2 to 5.5 liters and rumors of a direct injected twin turbo v6! Renualt and Nissan cant afford to have a sports car so out of step with other sports cars. This car will fade out and something radical will replace it. I'd put money on next Z like car not having a 6 cylinder motor.
370Z sales lately are terrible. Remember they stopped building Z's for a while in past. When FT86 hits streets sales of Z's will plummet this next year. I think 370 Z is phased out 2014 and no Z replacement until 2016. Even Godzilla GTR is in danger based on what I see happening in the industry with all the new global regulations on fuel consumption but less so than 370Z which has to sell some volumes to be profitable for Nissan.
With new Renualt platform sharing strategy its not going to be profitable to make a seperate Z car that cant use engine parts from its core lines. So they will either use Mercedes motors or I'm betting a turbo 4 or Hybrid that isnt anything like Z's of past generations.
