Default What hit my car?

It snowed in Baltimore on 12/16, and I left the car at work for the night. At the end of the parking lot far away from other vehicles. And yes I have tried to drive the 370Z in the snow last winter - no way.

This is what I find at work the next morning. Something hit the Z in the rear, and pushed it about 10 feet into a dirt-trash hill. The Z was in gear. Only thing I can figure is the snow plow. Investigating cop says kids will often do donuts in snow covered parking lots.

From the look of the tire tracks left where your car was sitting(they lead to the rear passenger side) , it looks to have been a commercial vehicle. There is double tire tracks meaning 2 wheels side by side like a dulley. Sucks to see such a beautiful car fcuked up and no care from the person who did it.

you should take a picture of those tire tracks that are curving and try to match the tires with the cars in the lot.

But seriously, how do you push a car that's in gear 10 ft yet only leave a minor scuff on the bumper? I don't think it was "snow drifting" incident cuz it would have left a bigger impact.

Must be snow plows........

The "Shred-It" truck looks suspect.

Does this look intentional? Like a truck pushed the Z slowly into the hill? Damage to rear bumper is minimal.

Its hard to say, but from the picture I would say no(as there is no slip marks- meaning that the tread would not have left a perfect mark). What it does look like, is that after it was hit it was pushed forward. I think a slow moving vehicle hit your car and kept pushing until it was free(maybe the shred it truck or a snow plow, as they tend to travel at low speeds) and able to keep going.

Maybe this????

I agree that that shred it truck needs to be CSI-ed. Check for semen stains on the tires...

But seriously, i thought it was an optical illusion, that much movement for that little of damage? I mean, no damage is GOOD damage, but shouldnt cost much..

And what were the kids doin donuts in? a dam tank?

I hope you get to the bottom of it!!

It does look intentional. If someone hit it at speed, it would've left A LOT more damage than that. CRIDDA is right, those are dualie wheels. I wouldn't be surprised if someone was messing around with your car.

Thanks. It is strange. A snow plow hits the Z, but keeps pushing for 10 feet.

Not the Shred-it truck. Truck arrived 12/17 at approximately 0900 hours. Z was already damaged.

Sorry to hear about bro I left my z parked for an hour in a nice neighborhood, and returned to tire tracks UP THE HOOD. Someone literally backed over the car. People are so careless man, I HOPE you catch the guy. I put up a $1000 reward so I could find who did it and press charges. It would've been worth every penny but I had no luck! Keep us updated how this ends up!

on the car being pushed... whether intentional or not it was a low speed impact and for watever reason they kept pushing the car.

based on the tracks i highly doubt it was unintentional.

I am guessing one of the n00bs you told to get an rsx spotted your car and decided it was the perfect way to get back at you.

Damn man sorry to see this happen to your beautiful Z.

Looks like it was hit by a truck or something taller for sure, any cameras at all in the entire area? even from a building on the other side of the fence is where I would look.

Eeek that sux! Just be thankful that there was a slight bank there, or imagine how far it could have gone, just looking at the buildings nearby.

Fairly wide tyre tracks, so must be something reasonably big.
