EVO X or 370Z? ??
Hey people. Just looking for some insight on the 370Z.
I'm thinking of trading my Evo X for a 350/370Z. If any of you have owned an Evo or STI your input would be much appreciated.
Power wise the cars are similar. The Evos awd system never ceases to amaze me... but there is something awesome about a well balanced rwd car.
Basically, I'm trying to decide if the 350/370Z will be as much fun to drive.... I would not be modifying it past basic bolt ons.
Thanks for any input.

have an evo now, its alright so far. went from a fully bolted speed3 to it, so it is slower. the interior is pretty sh!tty to be honest. lots of rattles, and its the same as a base lancer.
BUT
you dont buy the evo for comfort. if thats what you want, get the sti. the seats are the ****, the brakes are pretty good, and the awd is fuggin sweet. $1500 (exhaust, tp, ebc, tune) and ill be at 330 - 340 awhp. not too shabby, and these numbers arent just pulled out of my ***, they're the norm. if you do get an evo, be warned the MR's with the flappy paddles doesn't take to well to mods, lots of overheating issues. the older evos (08 - 11) have problems with the timing chain skipping, but they fixed that for the '12's, as well as a color lcd screen in the '11s and '12s (i think). they respond pretty good to mods (obviously) but the sti does sound better.
also, the 370z has been viewed as one of the worst performing cars in its price bracket i believe, not knocking it, but just saying; whereas the evo is prettymuch best bang for your buck and then some
EDIT: yup, read op/post wrong. i now see you have the evo currently...

I forget the member's screen name here but he got an Evo X, regretted it, and went back to a 370z. There are several members on here who own both. I love both cars but the Evo just holds the road. Go test drive a 350z and 370z before you decide. You could always pick up a used 350z for relatively cheap as a second car.

Let's see. I have owned 2 350Z's and 1 WRX STI.
I miss my Subaru because unlike the Z in the winter time the Subaru is point and shoot where as the Z will get stuck in the driveway. There was something about that awd and a turbo that made me smile but also there is something about the Z that put's a bigger smile on my face.
I want another STI but I just can't let go of the Z.

Wow... Not the responses I was expecting!
Why do you guys say keep the X? Is it that much faster? I was thinking the performance would be close to the EVO.... With a nicer interior, better sound and (imo) better looks.
What is it about the 370's that you guys are not liking so much?

Yes, its good to ask others opinion, but when it comes down to it, you are making the decision, you are buying the car, and you will be driving it everyday.
Have you even test driven a Z yet?

350's are more respected than the 370's. More people tend to get the 350. Of course it being cheaper and all. But yeah 350 would be my route. Evo's are pretty cool as well. You get better things with the Evo and Better things with the 350. Tough decision. But either route, you will have a badass car.

if you get a 350z, get the latest model you can. It's the most revised , and will have the least amount of miles usually. sometimes you can find a low mileage 03/04/05 but you wouldn't necessarily want to go for it since its the slower DE engine, and you wouldn't like having 1 useful cup holder
