Wow... Not the responses I was expecting!
Why do you guys say keep the X? Is it that much faster? I was thinking the performance would be close to the EVO.... With a nicer interior, better sound and (imo) better looks.
What is it about the 370's that you guys are not liking so much?

Keep the evo, there are going to be days when you need a 4 door. as for choice between 350z and 370z, get an 07-08 350z if you can, the 370z is just a 350z with a bigger stroked engine, you literally will be paying 10,000 more for like 20 more hp to the wheels, you could take that extra ten, go fi on your 350z and destroy most things on the road.

can't believe i get to make a decision this important for someone else!
but in all seriousness, i'd go with evo x. love my z but sometimes i wish i had the extra space. plus i wouldn't have to choose which sibling walks to school in the mornings.

My experience has been that there's just no substitute for the excitement a RWD can deliver, but there's also no substitute for 4 doors, practicality and AWD in a bad-weather environment. The decision is yours. You won't be bored with the 350 coming from an AWD if that's what you're worried about.

I've always loved the thought of a 4 door sports car. That's really awesome if you ask me.
If I'm not mistaken, they are both 0-60 around 4.6 seconds and both do the 1/4 mile in the low/mid 13s. The Evo can hold 5 people though.
I have a 350z and I love it. But if I could choose between an Evo x and a 370 id take the Evo x.
Sure the interior isn't luxury, sure it's not the most comfortable ride but that's not what you buy it for. I also like the styling of the Evo.
..but you wouldn't be kicking yourself if you got a 370. Both great cars

Thanks for the responses people.
Yes I live in Canada but I have a truck for winter. I just want a fun summer car. For some reason the X isn't all that exciting to drive. My previous car (05 STi) was more fun even.
I was thinking RWD + nicer interior + sexier looks would be a good tradeoff...
If not a Z what else would you guys be looking at?

to sum it up, keep the evo if a practical and potentially fast car with back seats and a trunk and awd is what you're looking for.
get the Z if you want bad b!tche$, a somewhat impractical car with no backseats and an okay trunk/hatch, and rwd fun.
in the end, power to money ratio for the EVO is far less than the 370 or 350 if the power goals aren't too crazy.

i have both the Z and the X. both are totally different feel as far as driving characteristics, you already know that but after owning both, and modding the crap out of the 350z for boost and what not, the X out of the box is probably the more practical and fun car and you get more mod value per $ (ie least amount of $ per HP gain) but takes less skill to drive it because of the S-AWC system... grass is greener where you water it. RWD might seem fun when you're coming from AWD and AWD seems fun when you're coming from RWD..etc etc if you want really balanced, get the FRS/BRZ.

You sound like me. I have a truck for the winter (96 Nissan Hardbody) and the Z is my summer fun car/daily driver. The thing I miss about awd... being able to slam that damn STI into curves and it took it with a smile and asked for more. The Z... I have to plan my entry and exit's to curves, watch my speed and steering angles and how much I need to brake so I don't understeer going in and oversteer going out (although a little oversteer can be fun). So basically the Z is your typical rwd car... you drive it, your tell it what to do and if you mess up your going to know real quick. The awd systems in the EVO are going to do most of the driving for you kinda like your on road chaperon.
Also like many have said go 350Z over 370 and honestly guys I have driven and road in the BRZ and I just didn't like it. Maybe it's just me but I would wait and see what STI will do to the car before making a purchase there.
Also the R-Spec Genesis Coupe is a BLAST! Rear drive factory boost...
