Please do not get rid of that car. I've had both the S2000 and the 350Z and I can tell you a stock S2K is an amazing car. A boosted one is probably that much much more fun. The Z is a great car, but its not as refined. You'd probably have to get a Z at 450-500 whp to equate to what you have in the S2000 because of power to weight, I could be off, but you get the idea.

If I was short, I'd get an s2000. Being my height I like bigger cars. Also the s2000 is more fun to drive than a Z. But than again support companies that supports its enthusiasts, and honda clearly doesn't. No more rsx, integra, nsx, s2000....nissan still makes the z and gtr.

I'm keeping my S I've decided for at least another year. I might make the move to a c6 z06 next summer. That or an exige but for now I will be getting a new engine for the S soon and upping the boost a little more.

Well one of the reasons is my S2000 is 12 years old now with 182k miles. Engine has started to burn some oil and exhaust smokes a bit in boost. Car needs a paintjob and new engine and trans in not too long. So seems silly to dump another $8,000+ into a car that old with that many miles.
I have probably 12-15 grand in parts I can sell off the car and then sell the car for maybe 7k or so and get into another car.
I do love the s2000. I have had it for 5 and half years now. Bought it with 65k miles in 2007 so put a lot of miles on it!
I am worried about the Z not feeling as nimble which I'm sure it won't but the added torque would be nice as well as the newer more comfortable interior on the 370Z.

The s2k is gonna be a classic IMHO. The Z is too popular. You'll miss the S IMHO. The Z is heavy. I'd fix the s2k so u can run another 180k miles on it.

Yeah might look into getting a Z sometime in the future but ill use suffer with my boosted s2k for a while more haha. I do love it just getting closer to time to move on up I think.
Goal is next summer either a c6 z06, lotus exige S or a cayman S.

I am a 370z GTM TT running 453/409 @ a conservative 6lbs.
It holds boost exceptionally well, and one can run 450-500rwhp everyday.
There are numerous people who Daily 500rwhp on the VQ37 and still have no issues. If you don't abuse the car, get a solid tune and have great supporting mods (34 row Setrab or equivalent oil cooler, upgraded radiator, clutch FW and CSC) etc. you are golden as the weakest areas are the oil temps and engine temps when hitting it hard.
With these mods, after some hard runs getting into full boost I rarely see oil temps above 215deg F.
The motor can probably last as long as you want it really until you start pushing 550 or heavy driving (track abuse).
A solid tune with appropriate supporting mods will help greatly in making sure the engine lasts. Pay to play
I have no complaints and good luck with the S2K.

Please dont get rid of that car for a 350z. 350z's are not nearly as reliable as your car is once theyre boosted. Unfortunately, the cost of maintaining a car is something everyone has to deal with. Even with your mileage, buying/building a new motor is still a better move then buying a 350z.

Tibal, good luck with your 370z. I have had 3 350'z and a 370z and they are completely different cars in a lot of ways. How they handle boost being a big part of that. I miss my 370z a lot and wish I hadnt got rid of it. But winters in Mass suck.

Ive been boosted around 7psi on my 03 350Z for over 20k miles. It sees boost everyday and Ive had no issues. I plan on pulling the engine soon, build it and turn the boost up, but as it sits I still make ~400whp/360wtq. This has been extremely reliable and I couldn't be happier.
