Painted inside plennum?

Hi all,

I bought a plennum that has been 'chromed' on the outside. It looks great, but what I did notice is that it had been painted silver inside.

Is this detrimental to the engine?

So then how you know it's silver? Also the natural color of the plenum is gray....

my guess is that they polished the outside and you're seeing the original finish on the inside.. no one in their right mind would paint the inside of the plenum for no reason : P
