As for maint. and stuff there is warranty... and after that things will be more expensive obviously... they will probably have a higher labor rate and parts will be more expensive... but its not going to be near Euro car repairs...
Also, it will be very hard to enjoy this car to it's full potential without voiding your warranty. Simply turning off VDC will void your warranty. How fun can this car be if you are constantly worrying about voiding your warranty?

LMAO 6-10k for a brake job? what is this a enzo with carbon ceramic brakes and ****... dude the brakes are nothing special on this car there just BIG... there still steel rotors there just massive, and there is a lot of pad to replace but no where near 6k... people fill there tires up with nitrogen all the time (atleast here in mass) there are plenty of places that are starting to do it its not like nitrogen is some exotic gas that we are in a shortage of it makes up most of what you breathe... not sure how much the tranny fluid will cost but 1k is not close probably like 3-400 including labor...
I'm am still not clear on the whole VDC voiding your warranty someone else will have to answer that but im sure its not just turning it off. It's probably extended amounts of time with it off, and you forget its not like our Z's vdc where it interferes even with shifting to second this VDC has different modes like Race which will allow slippage and everything only reason vdc needs to be off is if you want to go drifting or use LC...

i would guess it would be 5K. on the japanese parts list the rotors were $718 and front pads alone were like 800-900. im not sure about the how close that will be to the US stuff. but yeah all 4 rotors must be replaced at the same time.
but here is some semi good news. if you dont track the car alot they said a street driven GTR wouldnt need a full brake replacement until up to 40K miles.

Doesn't the computer freak out if you change the wheels ? Decrypting the overly sensitive ecu along w/ other basic upgrades is def going to be $$$ considering the price of the mats. If you like to mod....your def going to have to wait a while for the technology of this thing to mature.. JMO

Wow i stand corrected... i would think the rotors would be 400 tops and pads around the same per axle tho...
MC do you know if and what is the increased labor rate for a GT-R compared to another Nissan... I ask this because i know they charge more for say Dodge Vipers and even more for Hennesey kit labors...

The standard carpeted Porsche 911 floor mats [set of 4] are only $140 (MSRP).
The GT-R must have "faster" mats.

And every 18,000 miles, the fluid change is approx $1,000, differential, etc. Correct on the brakes too. And there's a black box in the GTR, if you break any of the warranty maintenance requirements, the black box tell it all, and warranty is void. I checked this out with a mechanic and the service dept at Nissan. I have a strange feeling they will be very strict and on top of the maintenance documentation too. Just a little add in here.

Enzo price: $643,330 / Brake Job: $26,000 = 4% of the car's value
GT-R price: $77,000 / Brake Job: $8,500 = 11% of the car's value
