No doubt they will sell them, but it will probably have the same type of markups as the ZR1's so that put's it closer to $150-$200K. The question is what will it have that will make it worth the extra $60K over a standard GT-R. OH, and the ZR1 is going to be fairly loaded with very little options available.

+1 that is a lot a of mark up....it's like another car. we all know it would be good, but come on...$70K mark up for a V-Spec? Is the bodywork all carbon fiber? I hope the still remember that they're Nissan. By the time V-Sped goes on sale, Lexus LFA and the Acura NSX replacement might be on sale too (2010-2012). Those cars will be around the same price range and you got a whopping V10 powerplant while Nissan still be a V6 TT. How many people will be willing to spend $100+K for a V6?

For that price you can also get a used Ferrari 360 F1 Modena, Porsche 911 Turbo, Lamboghini Gallado, Aston Martin DB9....Vantage, BMW M6, maybe a couple AMG, or even an Audi R8!!

I thought the NSX would be above the $150K price so is the LF-A...I agree the V-spec is pretty expensive, but Nissan should sell all of these cars.

Kinda of a disappointment with those specs to that price tag. What in the blue hell is up with that low torque #?

i think w/ that price tag people will still buy the spec v version. we got the weekly sunday meets down by the beach and these guys trade in their exotics like switching underwear. if its fast they got it whatever pricetag it is

I'm sure Nissan will sell these cars and I'm sure it's gonna be a limited production too. I know the performance will be greater than the current GTR, but really a V6 car stepping into a V8 and V10 territory? Hell, for that much $$$ I'll take a C63 AMG over a V-spec anytime

Last time I read I think the price for the NSX and the LF-A will be around $130K,.....if I remember it incorrectly I apologize. But even without these two car, a nice used 360 or a gallardo is not impossible.

I don't mean to offend any GTR enthusiast here. I feels like Nissan just went a bit overboard with the GTR craze,...I feel like they take advantage of the situation

I'm just talking about a regular 911 turbo, I didn't mention anything about a GT2 or a GT3. Also, if you go for a used one, there're many out there under $80K. I'm just saying that with $120K you have plenty of choice for a car, and if you go for a nice used one...you can end up with some exotic.

Lexus is a luxury company. People would pay that much for a high performance luxury supercar.

I would say its easier to sell a 200k Luxury supercar than an 130k hardcore track car.

For a 120k I would probably be shopping for a used exotic Italian as well.... but that's just the poor-folk in me trying to feel rich. Cash on all the prestige you can get right? I'm not rich

On the other hand ,people who pick up a V-spec for MSRP or above will probably not give a rat's @ss about a used exotic. Majority of them will have another status car in their stable.

Point? The GTR V-spec is not targeted towards people who are conflicted with how far they can stretch their six figures for an exotic car.

i think the corvette enthusiasts have a lot more financial resources than GT-R enthusiasts (typically older men vs a younger crowd)... the corvette is an american automotive icon... i don't know if a limited production of the spec-v will have the same effect as the zr-1... the gt-r is still very new to the states, and many people don't know much about it... i doubt that many people will be willing to pay almost double the price of a gt-r for the spec-v.

my 2 cents.

Just FYI, The ZR1 was announce to have an MSRP of $105K with Delivery and Gas Guzzler tax.

I don't see it as a very business-like move. I wouldn't pay $130k for a Nissan.

I know Nissan isn't a bad car company, but there's just better quality and luxurious things out there.
You wouldnt, but it doesnt mean others wont. The GTR Z-Tune sold within minutes and those cars were over $180K.
