NO they do not! Perhaps the first 12 went to some wealthy guys that just wanted the new toy on the block, same went for the Z. But the vast majority of GTR owners are not wealthy.
Keep in mind the car is only about 80k out the door, roughly the same price as a Z06 corvette or an new M3 with options. Nissan really thinks this car is the greatest thing since pockets, they dont even have it on their website Anyway less i digress, my point is that the GTR is price lower than a basic Porsche Carrera they designed the car to lure the supercar market into it but I assure you that guy looking to a buy a 997 turbo which isn't even a super car let alone the guy looking to buy a lambo gallardo, F430 Ferrari or even a Viper of any variation is not even considering a Nissan GTR.
Tha majority of GTR buyers, will be young successful proffesionals, like that attorney whose 27 and just finished paying off school loans or the guy who just finished his residency and now actually making a lil money or even the kid whose been in the finance company for about 3-4yrs and now has a few clients of his own on the books. None of these people are have a ton of money, mostly they just have enough to have a cool daily driver, but i assure you they cant a afford anything for the car that cost 20k trasmission included. Nissan needs to come to their senses.

with everyone talking about 20k for transmission im kinda confsued so if something happens to the transmission and you need new you have to pay 20k? if thats is true, that is pretty retarded who do they think they are some exotic italian company? maserati charges 6grand for new clutch..
also 20k for nismo exhaust and another 20k for nismo seats? if you decide to buy jsut one of those id rather go with a porsche fully loaded. porsche would cost around 20 grand more if you upgraded the GTR with seat or exhaust

Either way, I posted this thread for entertainment, it's not the first time there has been ridiculously over priced parts. Even the 350z has some exhausts that are in the 4-6k range, and the Amuse Superlegerra kit is something like $14k right?
Oh well, if anything, I'm sure there is someone that will have this, young, old, rich, or not.

Still doesn't make sense for sales. If you price something so far out of range that the people who are buying the cars can't even afford, then why even make it? Sure they can inflate their costs a bit, but from a sales perspective make it withing a reasonable price so that you don't overprice yourself out of the market almost 100%. Sure its almost supercar status, but it doesn't have a supercar pricetag. Even Ferrari for the most part doesn't have exhausts that are that high.
PS I think the price also includes shipping and freight to the usa from japan and im pretty sure its not small packaging and would cost a couple hundred to ship by boat for sure. The rest is yen conversion and the site's profit cut. I would say maybe in japan its half the price listed.

Even If i did have money laying around, i would never pay 21K for an exhaust! Even 5K is way to much. I bet it cost the companies the same to design and manufacture these exhausts as would another Sports Car. But because this exhaust is going onto a gtr lets make a 19k profit margin. **** Nismo!

Retarded, just plain stupid. I would be afraid to see anything else for the GT-R aftermarket parts. Exhaust is 21k, what would a turbo upgrade be? 45k?
blah.
Maybe they made these prices for the people who took all our money out of the economy. *cough cough* imo.

thats too much for me honestly thats more than the price when i brought my 350z
if i had a gtr, and the exhaust has a huge performance gain then maybe i consider it
