Default GT-R vs GT2

From Driver's Republic...

In all fairness though, the GT-R was on the Bridgestone runcraps, not the Dunlops (which offer better wet handling).

According to a Driver Republic spokesman the change of tyres would only net then 5 seconds, a change of driver and perfect conditions by 10 seconds.

I'm pretty sure we all knew this even when Nissan posted it was faster. It just isn't. Nor is it better looking.

I like how they explained beforehand that the stock that people put in "ring" lap times is ridiculous. You can't compare lap times of two cars run on two different days there. Just way too many variables.

Turned out how I expected it. I'm impressed that the GT-R gave the GT2 a run for it's money. Amazing for a car that's half the price.

I'd also like to add that the GTR was built to compete against the 911 Turbo not the more powerful and special suspension GT2 prosche but it gave the GT2 all it wanted.
I've seen test where the 911 turbo out ran a certain GTR but other test wher they are neck and neck, in doing that the GTR is an outstanding automobile for nearly half the price. There was a time that the 911 Turbo was considered a deal at $125k compared to the $185-$225 Lambos, Ferriras and such.
