so if i had the money,i would stick with the Z and look in to buying a home you will realize it latter in life that you did the right choice
BTW...Is your Z FI???? i would consider slapping some Big turbos if you wanna go fast..
It will save you a whole lot of money than a "super car"..and you still can buy a house

my z is for sale and is A/T so...its sux in a sense...but you got a good point about the house thing...

The looks of the car. If you drop it and put some nice clean wheels on it, the GTR really comes to life. Stock....it just comes across kinda bland to me.

Yeah....but when you are paying 80-90G for a car, I would like to love it off the showroom floor.
Don't get me wrong, I still think it's an awesome car. Just not a huge fan of how it looks.

 

Right, takes a ZR-1 to beat it at a track for 2X the price of the GT-R.

true i hear ya on that...so i dont think i want the GTR anymore due to all the research ive been doing....does anyone on here own a Mercedes CLS? i think that would be a back up car in place of the G37...and would i be able to fit in the CLS? im 6'1''....

 

i dont own one, however, personally, i dont like:

- the two tone paint
- overall body styling
- the fact it doesnt have an RB
- only automatic, i dont care how fast it shifts, 6 speed stick would be more fun

overall i'm not too pumped about the new GTR, i was sadly dissappointed when i saw one in person at the boston auto show last year... I think i'd take a new M3 over it anyday of the week, regardless of numbers/performance.

screw the m3 for 65g get a '07 m6 it has a 500hp V10! as much as I love the GTR the m6 is so much more car for the money and it's a BMW... the cars sold for 110k new and did I mention the V10!! I look at the gtr I see a car that could dominate the track you look at the M6 and you see a car that can dominate the street the m6 is heavier 4100 pound opposed to the gtr's 3800 the m6 has a lot more space inside and with simple power mods it could be in the 520s it comes in a manual!!! or a dual clutch thing with 7 speeds and the engine can rev to 8600rpm's thats in a V10!

But I do agree get a house it is a good investment plus you could still live with your mom and pop and just rent it out and when you finally get a wife you will have a place.. and you can sell your z if you just want another car and get a lotus exige s for 34g and use the rest to put down on a place... BTW I am 19 and a only child and I own a heavily modded 350z and a stock rx-8 that I am selling and my next car is most likely a gtr just for street cred...

I do think for practicality the m6 is way up there when you are talking about two door cars if you still want that type of power look at a cts-v (fastest sedan around the ring!) or a m5 both are great cars!

I was at Mossy Nissan Escondido yesterday and the gm showed me around the car and my best friend was with me and he is like 6'7 Greek boy and these are the impressions i got:

Oh people over 6 feet don't fit in back and the trunk is awkward to get stuff in and out (ie golf clubs) and the nav system likes to yell over the radio... O' there's only one freaking cup holder in back... lol

gtr pros
its fast.............. front seats are super comfy compared to the Z's, easy to get big power numbers out of it, the control thing in the center console is awesome you can hack it to watch movies off your ipod, and it has a great sound system! over all quality of the car is just better than the Z06.

 

What do you guys hate most about the GTR? That I don't have one.

 

that its back seat is crappy.... not meant for normal people... ie people over 6 feet

 

The looks were such a disappointment to me when it came out.

 

It's definitely not a looker. Most would say it's ugly. But if your into guys it will get plenty of looks from them as you drive by.
