nope. a "win" over the Veyron will never happen. have a friend who owns both, and theres no comparison in this universe, albeit his Veyron is not a drag strip car... but at about 170 mph that GTR will be a nightmare death trap.. and the Veyron will just start powering thru the wind.... thats where the 1001 hp comes into play.. just top speed, just to fight friction from wind... and its stability at that level is unbelievably calm. AND slowing down from that speed is a snap.... I was scared just watching the GTR.. thinking " oh man... that could end bad at any second"...

cool video none the less... and that is one bad *** GTR.. but its as much an apples to oranges comparison as could ever be made. Two completely opposite ideas.

true about the Veyron, but I wouldn't say GTR is a death trap @ 170mph. I've gone 157 on my Z and even though I was shatting my pants, the ride itself was silky smooth (felt like around 120). GTR being a few notches up, I think it'll handle close to 200mph without too much issue. I'd rather have Veyron any day, in terms of performance, I don't think there's a huge gap between the 2.

 

I don't mean to be rude, but have you done any research on the car??? I'm in the process of buying one so I've done a lot of research. The car does 190 ish in it's sleep....and this video is of a 2009. The 2012 GT-R's have 520hp!!!!!!!!

yeah. I know these car have awd, but those speeds on wet roads is asking for it. I remember reading about the Lambo test driver in Germany. He didn't make it.

 

it was wet out the veyron let up and wasnt pushing to limits by any means.

 

I fuken love the GTR...love the Veyron to but not in this life time....GTR is a more realistic dream

 

holy sht. with wet surface. nice vid. I don't believe that the Veyron was pushed to the limit. As soon as the GTR goes to its top speed (well it is a modded GT-R, probably w/o top speed limit, but anyway it has one at certain point) Veyron would continue to the infinity and beyonnnnd!
