Egh... I kind of understand him asking someone who's badmouthing his shop from attending an event he's promoting. (Be that badmouthing deserved or not)

I agree, it's a bit of a douche move, but I do understand it.

 

The point is that Sharif didn't ask, he just dropped him from the event and sent him that email. The guy used to be a FP customer that got screwed over by them on a build, so he posted some negative stuff on the thread about the other guy with the $250K build and got a little too heated. They cleaned up some of the language in his comments.

Things get serious when you throw 1/4 mill #'s around and potentially show a pattern of deceit. Litigation can ruin a business especially if your constantly defending. If you don't use company resources to pay lawyers to defend then 90% of the time you loose. If your always in court then you go broke. So either way I see a potential loose loose scenario for FP. Sad for the fact they appeared to be one of the more honest and well backed companies for the VQ platform then expanding into the GTR. I honestly rather see them make good and overcompensate then see them get buried for milking the customer.

As for the performance shop, they have no ethics and deserve to be shut down and negative press.

 

Not really sure when they first started getting hollered at or around but once it started it seems like the atmosphere got worse. I do remember the G37 guy and his fiasco tho if that was what kicked off the bad karma.

 

Yeah, multiple victims came forward and some prior dirt came to light once dpjones spoke out with his story.

i was reading the story through allot of forums. everybody were going really hard on Sharif. i know he did a mistake and no BS he say can Justify the pix. he fu**ed up the GTR. but **** happens. maybe Sharif didnt see the GTR Leaving his shop this way. or maybe one of his mechanics Fu**ed up.

Sharif should start an internal investigation about who's responsible for this big mistake. and he should try his best to compensate the guy so he fix his reputation.

Forge has the big bucks to throw at IB to make chit disappear. How one ask? Idk overcharging for chit service. IV spoken to sharif a few ttimes one being face to face at zdayz years ago and over the phone and email about a build I wanted. Well I'm guessing after speaking to me he realized I didn't know much then. 2006. He sent me a estimate for 34k$ for a jwt tt kit around 450hp. Of course I almost fainted and found another shop who now I praise send them business as well as they get 100% of what I can't or dont want to do.

I was a member back on the FI shaft days in 07 08 and remember all the stuff with forged. I also remember Also remember what Alberto went through. Its time for this overpriced shotty work shop to be condemned

 

It's not an isolated incident... There are other cases of poor quality control and a "We'll make it fit with this hammer" attitude.
