Default JIC Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Bar and Motordyne Plenum

Will the JIC Magic Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Bar fit if a 1/4 Motordyne Plenum Spacer is installed?

I'm putting one on this weekend. I have a 5/16th inch spacer installed. I'll let you know how much room I have.

I have the JIC Magic aluminum strut bar and the 5/16 MD Spacer. It all fits but with a slight bulge on the driver side.

What is the distance between the top of the plenum and brace? Keep in mind that the plenum spacer comes with spacers for the OEM brace. The spacers will most likely fit the JIC brace.

This thread is kinda old. Realized I never updated it when my car was done...

Here is a good pic of how it fits on my car with the 5/16" spacer. I have an aftermarket hood and it slightly rubs in two spots, so I put some weather stripping on the underside of the hood to keep it from damaging the strut bar. I have to change out the weather stripping every so often, but it still works. I've been thinking of using some washers to lower it slightly on the passenger side to cut down on some of the rubbing. I might do this before I head up to Zdayz in two weeks.

what hood do you have? Have you tried it on the OEM hood? when installing the JIC strut, did you have to use the sapcers for the strut bar that Metrodyne provided?

I have the 5/16and wanting to get the JIC CF strut as well. Thanks in advance.

you need to use the strut bar spacer (included). If you're going to use aftermarket hood, forget it. It will not fit at all.

Ide really like to knwo more info on this thread. I hate it that its old.
Id like to know what aftermarket hood is that read Z using. Also some more pics woudl be helpful.
Buble why do you say that it will not fit?
I have a Fuzion hood with the stock strutbar(no washers) and it fits with very very slight rubbing on the plenum and hood. I am trying to find a strutbar that owudl work better. Otherwise i will ahve to modify my stock strut a little to eliminate some of the little rubbing that exists.

Is there a aftermarket strut tower brace that is adjustable for the Z?

dont think so...
i am willing to try the JIC maigc sturt bar since its "thiner than the stock one and i cang et my stock one to fit... Otherwise i am "filing" my stock strut bar in some areas adn then painting it black. Wont be the best performing strutbar but it works out for shows
