Default Motordyne spacer

Hey, i was wondering what was best for my 06 revup. As far as i know, the 5/16th spacer/iso thermal with a mrev2 will give me the best gains. But, how are the gains with just the spacer alone. And yes, i did search, but just couldnt find what i was specificly looking for. Thanks.

from what I understand the spacer alone will make a minimal difference on a Rev Up motor. Best to do both.

Trying emailing Motordyne. They are excellent with responding with the complete explanation of what you need. And the why.
sorry I forget the username of the guy from Motordyne on this board

Nevermind, his username is hydrazine

But if you read some of his posts you will learn everything you need to know

If you don't get an MREV , MREV+, or MREV2, your intake runners will still be tuned for the higher RPM meaning you won't gain much torque from using the spacer.

If you get the MREV, MREV+, or MREV2 then you will be tuned for a lower RPM and you will have a lot more midrange torque... but in this case the spacer seems to help much more.

Yeah, just e-mail Tony at Motordyne. He's a great guy and extremely helpful. I bought my spacer from him and helped him test the beta version on the 287 HP motor and have been nothing but satisfied. Just ask him.

The revup motor , lower plenum mods and spacers have been discussed in detail. The intake forum is a great place for information.

Hi Joey,

Yes, for the REVUP engine, don't bother with a spacer unless you use the MREV2 with it. On the REVUP engine, a spacer alone doesn't do much if anything.

If you only do one, do the MREV2 it will make a significant difference for daily spirited driving, but for the best results in HP and TQ, use a spacer with it too.
