Perfect finish on paint!!!!!
I made the big jump into getting a Porter Cable random orbital buffer. I am amazed how much better the paint looks!!! About 97+% of the swirl marks are gone. I went to one of my local big chain stores and picked it up for $99 bucks! I know that Griot's Garage sells a kit for $199.99 but most of the stuff that is in the kit you really don't need. I used 3M Imperial Machine Glaze and followed it up with a coat of Maguires Carnauba wax. 3M also sells a hand glaze version of their glaze but doesn't last beyond the first couple of washes. Looks great at first but goes away!
The key thing to remember is that most hand versions of wax/glaze just hide or fill the small microscopic scratches. You have to remove scratches to get the best finish. My Daytona Blue RZ has never looked this good!!!
The best investment into my paint that I have ever made. Those fine scratches always bugged teh hell out of me.
As a side note. DO NOT USE A ORBITAL BUFFER only a RANDOM orbital. Those orbital buffers can actually do more harm than good. Like burn your paint!!
Now Daniel son....Wax on and wax off!!!

whats the part number for the porter orbital random buffer?
Also - what cover do you use microfiber ?
My super black looks great when its been cared for. It would be nice to be able to wax it quicker

Well the only way to prevent them is to never wash you Z at all. But the best way that I have heard about is to be extra careful with what you use to wash. Only 100%cotton or sheep fur mits are the way to go. Any polyester will scratch the hell out of your paint. When I was younger I used to use old t-shirts but they were usually a 50-50 blem of cotton and polyester. Big no no! I personally think that those touchless hose car washes like "Mr.Clean" is good since it filters out the water and minimizes hard water marks.
As for removal, the easiest is to use 3M Hand glaze. It is a tenporary fix but looks great, till you wash your car and it all goes away. Remember those fine swirl marks are scratches and need to be buffed out by either a rotary buffer with a 3M waffel type pad and machine glaze or the safest way is with a Porter Cable random orbital with either machine glaze or 3M's "swirl remover".
It takes some time and lots of patience but a little hard work looks great in the long run.
I would highly recomend the Porter Cable with the application of wax. Puts down a clean even layer.
I bought my Porter Cable at Lowes for $99.00
