Default ZR Operating Room

Just finished installing 6 double tube lamp fixtures in my 2 car garage. Wired & hung them 4 feet down from a high ceiling on chains (two just clear the garage door when opened) so they put the most light on a Z. Makes late evening polishing possible as you see everything under these operating room lights!

Had 4 regular lights in garage before, tried spotlights, and a movable 500 watt (X2) lighting stand. Nothing compares with the operating room that I have now! Next weekend the Onkyo B set of 150 watt Bose speakers gets installed along with a TV on a SAT line. Need some background music or news noise while in the garage.

Add a couch and bar fridge and you have no reason to go into the house.

No need for a couch, ZR has seats, but I am too busy keeping the Z snazzy while in the 'operating room' to sit down. Now I just gotta work that bar idea of yours into the storage compartment behind the passenger seat...

Now you can play in the O.R. Hope the patient never crashes on the tabel!!!

You might have to do a "emergency turbo/supercharger" install!!

ZR Operating Room Initial Construction Photo:

The picture below really does not show how bright it is (under the lights) as I am up on a landing entrance to the house above the new lights while taking it. From that angle can get the Z in as well as 5 of the 6 lights (and the 150watt RMS per channel Bose Speakers-powered by a 150 watt per channel Onkyo Amplifier).

There is an organized 3 shelf black rack below the landing for all my ZR stuff (5 gallon bottled water containers, PPC polish products, microfiber cloths, etc.). Really need to buy a storage building, then I can get the Non-Z related clutter out one day, repaint the garage a bright white color, decorate it with Z stuff, and put a checkered flag floor pattern in (that would be cool).

For now I am happy just having the stereo hooked up out there (with B set of speakers). The acoustics with the high ceiling is amazing! My Onkyo home stereo is a 6-piece separate component system. The preamp volume adjusts from 0-30 with No distortion. A setting of 7 is a concert hall, 10 a full blown rock band, 14 would power an outdoor beach party, 18 will probably break glass, and 20 will definitely bring the police knocking…

Never could turn this music beast up far in the house with wife and pets (3 dogs) present. Their ears can’t take it! So now I am in music heaven (volume set at 10) while polishing my black baby!

Your my HERO....I have a three car garage filled with crap from my move!!!!

I let my mother in law put some stuff in there not thinking now she has a entire parking stall full of fine collectible "junk"

One day when I grow a sack I will have my garage back like that.

The funny thing is my last house I drywalled and put a ceiling with lights and treated the floor....do I miss that little house!!!

Step 1: Lay the law down on the Mother-in-Law!
Step 2: Sell her crap on eBay. Tell her it was stolen out of your garage.
Step 3: TT or S/C Kit, Body Kit, etc...
Step 4: Enjoy your new sack!!

Red face 05 Tire & Suspension

I have been wanting to trade my 03' coupe for a new 05' Roadster. Has Nissan fixed the tire & suspension problem on the new model?

I love my Z but I don't need any more hassles with Nissan.

Thanks!
