Everything I have heard is soft top. My guy in Japan has seen two spyders that are prototypes, and he said they were both soft tops, almost identical in looks. The only real difference was the way the rear behind the seats was. With one car it was raised up and the other was flat. No big deal I guess.... he told me he is trying to get me a pic so you KNOW I will post it the second I get it.

CONVERTABLE
Ive seen places such as tint shops and other carsmetic shops actually make your car a convertible or a sunroof. Does anyone know how that rates when you convert your car from hardtop to convertible/sunroof? Or is it just better to leave it the way it is, or buy one when the time comes? I could just trade in my Z when the convertible comes in or is that a bad idea too? Just a suggestion on bringing it to a detail/carsmetic place to redo the top into a convertible?
Thanks,
Magalie

I would say trade in and take any loss that might come being that to have it done privately, it would cost an arm and a leg and the structure of the car wouldn't be as safe as if it were from Nissan itself. After all, you want the car to perfrom and not have crazy body roll. If someone screws with the body, the car might loose some of it's stiffness and this, would be bad.

Interesting
Yeah, I guess i'll just wait it out and trade it in for the convertible one when they do decide to come out, or else I'll just wait for the convertible and turbo whenever that comes out too, or else I'll just go ahead and get the convertible. Im still surprised they didnt go ahead and make a sunroof too. I just asked my dad what he thought about having someone put in a sun roof and he told me theres a better chance of the car getting a leak if they do it that way than if Nissan does it.
