Default Is my 20lb cat bad for the top, weight wise?

She only gets up there when I have the cover on and when I am outside with her. I actually put her up there verses her jumping.

So the question is, can the top hold her weight? She only sits up there 15-20 minutes.

Flame on guys, I have had her for 12+ years, she is spoiled.

I know the feeling man. My Sammy (Cairn Terrier) is the ONLY carbon-based life-form allowed in my car without wiping off this feet first.....

20lbs is nothing, she (the cat and the Z) will be fine.

No shes is not de-clawed! Roadster is normally in the garage, but due to my hail damaged (ruined) Maxima cover and waiting for a new one from California car cover, the Maxima is in the garage due to me finishing it with ZPC and Z-2.

We had a serious thunderstorm yesterday with non-damaging hail and it rained about 4" in about 30 minutes. I took the cover 30 minutes after it rained and the Z was spotless.

Anyway back on track, I don't think it will hurt it any and I am with my damn cat the entire time she is up there.

I have a siamese that i bought as a kitten. 2yrs old. I would never let it sit on my car especially since its not de-clawed either!

Just don't let her "knead" the top if she's not de-clawed...hee hee.... My cat/baby has destroyed a few bedspreads that way, but otherwise she's an angel. She's indoor only so I don't have to worry about her doing that to my Z, but there are tons of stray cats in the area and one day I came out to find muddy paw prints on my top which I wasn't too happy about!

cute cat. my dad's 76 stingray corvette ate my two outside cats one morning when he started up his car and they got mangled up in the belts and fan. Most likely the climbed up in there because it was still warm when the night was kinda cold. oh well. let your princess Ginger sit up there anytime she wants... just not in the engine bay.

I would be careful. Some dude sets off a firecracker or some car backfires and your top will look like a cheese grater.

wow io had no idea Z owners were such cat lovers. I have an ocicat (3 generations bred down mountain lion) and he has alot of dog characteristics. For one hes huge and wont ride in a cat carrier. He will stand up on my seat and put his head out the window while im diving! Its pretty hilarious. Here his is killing a kermit doll, look how he compares to the full size couch to get an idea how big he is lol.

That's bad! I know someone who did that to their own cat.

I had a kitten climb into my wheel (hiding from my dogs)...I was worried that I was going to do the same.

WE had a similar experiance, happened like 12 yeras back. One morning when the wife was going to work and fired up the pu she said there was a comotion inside the hood, sounded likea cat fight. What happend was our cat was trying to keep warm and he got the suprise of his life, poor guy did not show up for a day or two and when he did he was limping but he was ok. Anyways he lived to be 19 yrs old. Not bad!

Ehh... not when they are in 9 seperate parts. That was the end for ole Smokey and Ashes. Vette had a metal fan blade and the belt itself was very tight.

Okay, one more pic. Maybe we should start a "Z owner Cat Pictures thread?"
