Question 1,000th post and a valid heterosexual question: What sunblock do you use?

I like to keep my skin cancer free so I've been using sunblock.(notice I eliminated lotion to keep the uber heterosexuals from flaming me). I've been using Neutrogena SPF 30. I went one day without it and I got real sunburned. It leaves a bit of a whitish bluish color which I don't like. I had a sample of Johnson and Johnson which I thought was really good but could not find it anywhere. What do you guys use if any?

I use water babies 45. My favorite though is the bullfrog (50 I think) spray on, it's really easy to put on and works great.

I use some generic brand SPF 30 I got from Ralphs or Vons... works great but I hate the feel on your hands after you apply it.... so if I'm applying without washing my hands afterwards, it really bothers me.

Coppertone Sport SPF 30...comes in a spray/spritz bottle. Works great if you don't want to burn your scalp, yet don't want to wear a hat all the time.

I never really liked the smell of the original Water Baibies.

I laugh in the face of skin cancer..

I have the ULTIMATE SUNBLOCK!
Roofing! and a night job...

If I must venture out in the hours of day I use the bananna boat, g/f buys it for her leasure by the pool, I use it cause it dosent leave the filmy residue and its free (shhh). Plus I think they have it in a spray bottle now.

Sorry but there is nothing butch about a bunch of str8 men talking about sun tanning lotion, I didn’t say it was bad just I find it way to funny, for other reasons, and believe me I am anything but sheltered.

Having gotten burned bad a couple of times I do see the merit of this post....My wife insists on Umbrell - high end good stuff, but we ran out once and our only option was Walmart - we bought their house brand and were really pleased - not oily, no smell and keeps ya from frying! The last thing I was is to feel oily and to have that suntan lotion smell as I enter a meeting at work...cheap, but the stuff works.

I heard on the news that there was a real good sunblock only avail in Canada. Hasn't gotten the FDA approval yet in the states.

Blocked both UVA and UVB rays.

Shouldn't this post be in the "other" section?

No because this is an issue concerning drivers who drive with the top down.

Ahahahah this is a very interesting post, i never put the top down during midday in the sun, i use the AC or roll windows down, its too hot and i sweat too much with the top down and i dont wear sunglasses...never have in my whole life. I put my top down only during late evenings (after 6-7pm) when its starting to get cool and also night time which i love the best.

What's the difference in the SPF 10 - SPF 60? More oils?

SPF = Sun Protection Factor, and it has to do with the amount of UVB and UVA blockers that is put into the mix. It is not more oil. It can be pretty technical, but some sunscreens contain nano-particles that are suspended in the oild and block the sun from hitting your skin (these are way expensive!).
