OK,. Got a question for you guys, Anyone put a LCD monitor in their trunk lid? I am curious as to what you think are the largest measurements you could fit in there. I measured a inch inside of the current carpeted piece in the lid at about 22 x 11. I have not been able to find any monitors that reasonably fit these measurements, but have found a good monitor at 19 x 13.4 . My thought is that I have about 1 extra inch above and below my measurements before coming to the edge of the trunk lid carpeting. On top of this I feel we could cut/shave some of the metal in the trunk to make this fit
Anyone out there fitted a monitor into their convertible trunk lid? What is the biggest monitor you think you can get away with fitting in there..? Any concerns on the depth as I get closer to the edges of the lid and the locking mechanism?
Thanks for any advice, thoughts.
Regards,
Brent

Are you saying anything over 15.4 wide is not reasonable? So my thought on doing a widescreen is a no-go huh..?
Any limitations on the height/depth that you know of Bubble?
Which Brand did you go with?
Thanks Man, I know your interior is hot....

few thing you need to put in consideration. You can't use our regular widescreen LCD (computer stuff) since the HU will not work with it. YOu have to use one of those LCD screen for car and the biggest size now is about 15.4". In addition to it, if you put a big monitor in there, the fiberglass might not be able to keep all the weight. Here is the frame of my trunk with LCD and speakers
