Any Pics Of The Convertible--from The Auto Show Yet?

i know ther was a show this week, I can't remeber if it was the LA or Detroit one. Any way, anyone get a pic of the final production convertible?

anyone have any idea on what the pricing will be on the convertible? will it be available on performance or enthusiast model, or will it be easily in the $35k+ range?

A guy from nissan was at our z club meeting a couple months back and said its a touring model, 35k, soft top.

The car isn't even in North America yet... it flies in from Japan via Fed EX plane (no joke) after the 20th, then will be photographed for press releases etc.

It will make it's appearance in April in New York @ the Auto Show there. This will be the first time the public gets to see the car in person other than sightings in the Carson, California area that will no doubt happen in mid to late March.

I wish it was in Detroit, though.

That's great news JmanZ. Thanks for the update. Looking forward to the April auto show in NY. I know I'll definitely be there this year. Are you or Tako coming out to NY for the auto show? If so, we should all get together dor drinks and eats with people from the boards. Plenty of places to hang out in the city. Imagine a caravan of 350Z's pulling into a manhattan garage park.

Hee hee....I live in Carson, and have 2 clients literally 2 blocks down the street from NNA on 190th Street. Guess I will be carrying my Digital camera with me in the car from now on :-)

No, the first public viewing of the car will be at the NY Auto Show in April.

Convertible

The convertible, originally slated for Feb 02, will be released in August. It will be released in same time period as the coupe last summer. The first production month looks like July 2003, for a mid to late August launch. August is the official wholesale release date. I will be going to a Nissan dealer meeting in Feb. If there is any info there I will relay to the forum.

Could you find out if it will have a detachable hard top, a power top w/ headliner, and a body covering tannue cover(like the Boxster--no boot to put on the folded top)???

I got this link from a Japanese site yesterday that had a pic of the convertible Z. I dunno if it's legit or not, but it seemed legit. They had information about what cars are coming out during the year, and said 'Summer' for the convertible.

I'll edit this post the link once I get home today.

Ill be at the NYIAS! But umm, i thought the Spyder was gonna be unvailed at the Tokyo Auto Show...anyone got an idea of what day in NY cause i dont want to go too early and miss her unvailing.
