Planning on buying a 350ZR soon (any advice?)
Hey guys,
Well, I'm finally able to take the plunge and get a 350ZR! The car I am looking at is a used 2004 with <4500 miles on it and fully loaded (nav, 18" wheels, etc.)
They are asking $31,500 for it, so I have two questions.
First do you think that is a good deal?
Second - what roadster issues/things should I look for before I buy?
Thank you in advance!

Ok how about we start with the issues first...
Get used to people giving you the thumbs up alot and countless women tossing their bra and panties at you as you drive.
As for the price...good deal. My ZR with out nav has a retail value of $31ish with 7,800miles... The Roadsters hold their value EXTREMELY well. I think it was Money magazine vote it one of the best for retention.
it the one you are looking at a 6mt or 5at?
Hope to have you in the ZR club!

I paid $34,500 for my 2005 touring roadster new, no nav or 18" wheels in June 2005. You might want to check for left over 2005 models before taking the plunge. The biggest issue with roadster is the top. Make sure to check the top for holes especially around the rear window. look at the color of the top, does it look faded? If the roadster was outside, did the previous owner clean and condition the top on a regular basis? Also, you need to test drive the roadster thoroughly to test the clutch and transmission and take a close look at the tires. Good luck

I would want to be sure that you have at least a few months of warranty left (I think all the 04s are still under warranty). This will cover some of the potential issues such as the soft top or tranny.
I can't comment on the price given where I live, but the low mileage is definatley a plus.

Thanks guys - for all the info! I probably will take a look at some '05's as well since they are in the same ballpark - I really want a Touring model, 5AT (so the wife can drive it as well) and preferably NAV.
Unfortunately, the car I mentioned above was sold to someone who worked at the dealership today. I already have my financing and she didn't, but the manager said she wanted the car badly and was willing to trade in her new Acura TL for it, so I am guessing they are making more $$$ off of her.
Guess I'm back in the hunt!
